Today's (9/28) UA/664 arrived early. It was new config, right?
Today's (9/28) UA/937 went out about an hour late due to "Late Arriving Aircraft."
Does that suggest the old config is back on the SFO-ORD rotation?
I'm on 9/29's UA/937 and it's open for check-in with the old config seat map. C is *wide* open (mostly unassigned) and Y is packed to the gills.
[Edited to add:] Today's 973 is scheduled into gate 82 and tomorrow's 664 out of 86 (at this point), so maybe another swap slated?

- 893(28) SFO-ICN, departed 11:09am
- 892(29) ICN-SFO, arrives 11:23am
...and ostensibly back to 664/973 turns on 9/30, which I don't believe for a second.
acardsd.org shows exactly one ORD-SFO flight for N194UA over the past 2 weeks: flight 973 on September 22. (I was on it! I was on it! ) Every other recent flight has been transpac.

New config today. I passed the boarding area at SFO as 1Ps were being called. 57 names on the C upgrade waitlist with 0 seats remaining.

I am on the ORD-SFO flight Friday on the old 747. The economy seat map has shown the flight full for some time (either all seats taken or one/two avaiable). The business seat map has shown 50 open seats for some time. The 100 hour window passed with no change in the business seat map (so I am assuming no upgrades were processed) and the 72 hour window also passed with no change. As PremExec, this is when my UDU would have cleared (I was waitlisted). Though I fully expect it to clear eventually, I wonder why UA is waiting when there are so many seats in C available.

Don't count on it. I was on that flight two weeks ago, was about 16 back on the list as a 1K on a middle-of-the-road fare bucket and 24 hour advance checkin.

I'm on today's 973, which had similarly had 50+ open seats in C. I did OLCI at the 24-hour mark and had my original Y seat assignment still showing. Overnight, upgrade cleared without seat assignment. Flight is now two hours out and OLCI is shut down and under airport control.
Without a seat assignment, I'm mildly worried about my upgrade being rescinded, but will know more on arrival at ORD. The flight is F1 J0 Y9. Looks like they cleared a lot of upgrades.

unitedcargo shows Saturday's (OCt 2) UA664 SFO-ORD as a 47C, but united.com still shows old config seatmap.
I have a confirmed upgrade (16A) , hope it sticks.

I have cleared 5 times this summer....and from what I could tell at the gate there were more avaliable seats than people on the upgrade list every time.
Things might be iffy with the new config.

I'm on 664 on Friday October 1. Same behavior as other days this week so perhaps also new config.
- Y Seatmap currently shows completely full.
- Last week Y seatmap showed only half full.
- C is wide open.
- My UDU didn't clear at 100 hours so I'm waitlisted.
