I had two rpu’s 0ut there and I got a receipt for 20.00. I thought it was dollars and was livid, but it is for UGC. Why is it to the hundredth decimal point???

A friend had waitlisted my daughter with :pne of his GPUs. Last night everything looked great. This morning there is no sign of that segment being waitlisted. My own GPUs that I applied to other segments on that PNR and others seem to be fine.

Everything converted perfectly, and existing upgrades were not lost. I got back 10x2 points for prem econ to PZ sfo-nrt rt.

So, for the most part, things look good on my end. The number of PlusPoints and number requested match what I expected. The reservations for which I had requests in place still seem to have those requests (and at the right levels, including a 30 point request for an A to Polaris upgrade request.

Having said that, has anyone been successful in requesting an upgrade? In theory this was supposed to be possible starting at 6 am MST today, but when I try to do so, I get "This reservation is not eligible to be upgraded." This is for a domestic segment (IAD-DEN) in S fare class. It was booked by a corporate travel agency, so I don't know if that comes into play...


NEVER MIND: Just figured out that this trip has not yet been ticketed. All is good!

When does the "requested" summary get updated?
 

Last month I applied 4 total GPUs on SFO-SYD XN and NRT-IAD YN. On 1 Dec I saw XN and YN with Upgrade Requested, on 2 Dec I saw XN and YN in parallel with two PNs Waitlisted, and today I see XN and YN with Waitlisted

The system seems to have converted the 4 GPUs to 160 points, but the summary only shows 80 "requested." Anyone know when the other 80 will show up as "requested"?

I am confused when I checked my +Points balance today. It indicates I have 100 points. However, I only have 1 RPU left prior to the conversion. What gives?

If you had any requests prior to conversion that were waitlisted only, you will receive a refund of those PlusPoints and they will remain ‘requested’ until we’re able to clear your first upgrade, at which point we will deduct PlusPoints.

Do you have any GPU waitlisted flight?

I just talked with 1K agent and he said "out of 50 calls - your conversion is the only one I've seen a problem with." Missing 40 points and appear to have been removed from the waitlist for TPAC flight next week, but I can't apply points for the upgrade either. I was hopeful that the missing points meant the upgrade was confirmed - it did not. Inventory went from J9/C9/Z9/P6 down to J1/C1 overnight...

Call me "Impressed".

Yesterday I had 2 RPUs left and two GPUs successfully applied applied to domestic itineraries.

Today I have 80 PlusPoints (40 for the 2 RPUs expiring January 2021 and a refund of 20 each for the two domestic itineraries, expiring January 2020). Also got a receipt for the two applied RPUs (well, the 40 PlusPoints) currently applied.

I received a receipt for a GPU which was sponsored by a GS friend.

So my theory is this glitch may be a result of UA eventually selling E+ as a separate class? Here's a pic from the full webpage, seat 7A on an E175 is the first row of E+. I show (40) PP requested and I am still waitlisted on my INTL leg. Does not give me the option to select a J seat without paying. It did not show like this yesterday. Haven't had a chance to call the 1K line yet.

Ugh.. should have known this in more detail. Just two days ago I paid $500 to upgrade to W fare to use confirmed GPU upgrade.. I have about 200 points about to expire in next month with no plan to use..

I had GPUs applied for an international trip next week (K fare) where one of the legs has cleared to Premium Plus and I was charged the 20 points, so all is good.

However, now I should be able to waitlist for Polaris (for another 60 points), but it didn't automatically put me on the waitlist and when I try to upgrade the reservation it says that "This reservation is not eligible to be upgraded". Did I miss something and you can only upgrade lower fare classes to Polaris next year?
