PlusPoints: 440 Expiration date: 01/31/2020 PlusPoints: 360 Expiration date: 01/31/2021 With this caveat: "PlusPoints are on their way. As we convert Regional and Global Premier Upgrades to PlusPoints, you won’t be able to make new Premier upgrade requests or change reservations with existing Premier upgrade requests until December 4 at 6 a.m. CT. Thank you for your patience!" |
Mine converted correctly as well.

Mine converted correctly too, at least for now. Bit of a scare earlier tonight when I got a receipt for an "ancillary purchase" that turned out to be 40 PlusPoints for a cleared, sponsored GPU. I'll be keeping close watch.

Consolidated UA PlusPoints Question & Answer Thread {Archive}
Very confusing. I received four emails from United saying that it is charging me either 40 UGC (for an international flight) or 20 UGC for a domestic flight. These flights have been upgraded months ago using a Global or a Regional.
Being puzzled, I called the 1K line to ask what this is all about. The agent said that I was the only person to call - i.e. I'm the only confused one. I guess everyone else is perfectly clear on what is happening. |
I just purchased a pluspoint upgrade to Polaris on a flight for tomorrow. Worked seamlessly.

Interestingly was for a flight less than 24h away with only 3 J available and it confirmed straight away. Probably something good in the new system as IIRC i could not do that (at least online) with GPU |
Interesting (although I believe announced):
80 PlusPoints to upgrade an S fare on all legs EWR-SFO-PPT, or 40 PlusPoints for a V fare. The 80 PP option allows the domestic segment to have the upgrade removed: 40 PP for SFO-PPT only. All waitlisted mind you, with no skip waitlist option to be found! https://cimg1.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.fly...60a98f819.jpeg |

Applied PP upgrades for one ticket and it went through smoothly.
For another ticket BOS-EWR-PVG, it allows me to select BOS-EWR and EWR-PVG individually, or both. So I selected EWR-PVG only, in case BOS-EWR doesn't clear. Don't want to waste 20 PP. This is a nice touch. |
Easy to request upgrade. Hopefully, it will clear!

Seems all GPUs and RPUs were redeposited into accounts then converted into Plus Points, then again charged at the appropriate rate for the upgrade requested. I was also confused but checked thoroughly and everything is in order. Upgrades for me are confirmed with just one still wait listed.
Also, given this level of slicing, I doubt they'll separate RPU points from GPU points. We should be able to extend 80 points, regardless of source, full stop. |
