• From December 3, 10 p.m. CT, to December 4, 6 a.m. CT, you won't be able to make a new Regional or Global Premier Upgrade request. |

When I log in, my page says:
Status update in progressOur site is temporarily unavailable as we complete the conversion process for PlusPoints and begin to review members’ status for 2020. The site will be available again by early afternoon on December 5. |

In the announcement video for PlusPoints, it was stated that United is the only U.S. airline to allow ALL upgrades to be purchased online OR via its mobile app. If I am understanding this correctly, does this mean that MUAs should be requestable on the app, as well as PlusPoints upgrades. This is not the way the app functions currently. It there an update expected?

So at LHR this morning and inquiring about the upgrade situation (by luck, and that is all it was, I got my upgrade through on Monday), the check-in agent said that there is nothing she can process at all, even seat changes, until midday GMT. If I look at the upgrade list for my flight on the app then there are 15 people on the upgrade/standby list (same names) and not one of them has a tick by their name and at this stage of the process I would have thought that there would be. So it does seem to be locked down. It will be interesting to see if the seat map displayed now, matches what happens on the flight.

On the app it says “upgrade requested” and when I press the i info it is blank. 2 hours ago it says “upgrade requested using a GPU”.
One benefit of this change is eliminating a couple of Smisek era “Premier” tags for every single thing. |

Everything got labeled “Premier” this and that. Regional upgrades and Systemwide became Regional Premier and Global Premier upgrades.
