In the case of GUM, snakes too!

I just checked a couple of random dates in 2nd half June. Coach loads surprisingly look pretty bad for a destination where people generally book a bit in advance. I doubt there will be up-gauges. If you want lie-flats, best chance continues to be the ones you can book now. UA looks like they are down-gauging because they don't see the demand, not that they can use the bigger planes elsewhere. Down-gauging will also make CPUs much harder this summer because the demand for F will probably match what is being provided. There's no shortage of coach seats to Hawaii right now and for foreseeable future. Round-trip fares SFO-OGG in late June can be had for $350 (basic economy) to $430 (regular economy). Not exactly the coach fares UA would like to be seeing. The F fares are holding up, though.

Yes, just found out a few minutes before you. I was able to select Premium Plus seats. There are plenty of Polaris seats available to purchase or waitlist for upgrade.

I just saw them yesterday, but only thought there were 3 lined up and 2 HA 330's.

Last week, I saw three UA 777’s and one HA 330 on the runway. However, when I took a walk to the Ewa terminal, I saw a couple of HA 330’s at the gate

3 x 757-200 with 16 flat beds

Do you know if these changes will continue to propagate into the future? All flights in July and onward are still 738s.

My guess is he's flying to ORD and on taxi to the reef runway, only spotted two 777 P&Ws parked. I think there were 4 before? (

Yes. Just landed ORD. The P&W 777’s seem to either be disappearing from HNL or moved.

I have a newbie question:

We are flying IAH to HNL in September, in first.

Originally when we booked first was the 2-4-2 configuration. I think, but am not sure, now it’s been changed to Polaris 1-2-1.

How do you tell if the plane has GE or PW? Is there another website that has these details, or do you just know because you can mentally map the seat configuration to specific plane types?

Also, any insights on whether the configuration might change again? We are flying as a family with kids so having the middles is required for us on the Polaris setup, but we’d prefer the window pair of seats on the old setup.
