Depends on season and airport.

DFW has had year-round widebody. For PHX, AA has added widebody service in months where it has previously been a narrowbody (we're flying PHX-OGG in June/July on the 772). CLT is a new route.

Exactly my point upthread. Polaris was never an option, it is only due to COVID. Give me a PMUA era 777 frame anyday over CO 737s (or any 737).

In fairness I am referring to CA-Hawaii. ORD/EWR/IAH/DEN would get widebody regardless

That's certainly true if you're sitting up front. In Economy, I'll take a 737 over the 3-4-3 HD 777 anytime.

Effective 3 June 2021, SFO-OGG and OGG-SFO are up gauged to:

1 x 767-300 with 46 Polaris seats, 22 Premium Plus seats and 99 economy seats
3 x 757-200 with 16 flat beds
1 x 737-800

I thought the only 757-200s left all have flatbeds

Is this why the daily EWR-HNL nonstop has "mostly" eliminated? I just logged on to check my 5/26 EWR-HNL nonstop flight that I was booked on and found it changed to a connecting flight through LAX which has other ramifications (a connecting flight). I will have to fly the 757-300 out of LAX which I really can't stand. I've checked several different days and I see a few nonstop EWR-HNL but most have now been canceled.

Seems to go back to all 738 in second half of June. Would be nice if they upgauge the rest of June as that is when we plan to travel.

They probably will either this weekend or next.

Just got a nice view of the 4 lined up single file 777-200s at HNL. Was surprised they didn’t even cover up the engines.

2510 is stuck on GUM and the engines, pitot tubes, and landing gear are all covered up. Perhaps due to higher humidity?

If the manufacturer is going to fix them all up anyway, why bother?

Depends on how you define "fix". For the fan blades, yes if required after inspection. For other parts of the aircraft such as openings where bugs and birds can get in and nest, no.
