To find your PQDs if >than $12K
Go to
MileagePlus activity since my last statement and it is in the "Account summary" table at the top of the page.
Note this is not just the UA operated PQDs (which is commonly believed to be what matters for GS) but rather your total PQDs.
Definitions
BIS is actual scheduled flight distance (Great Circle Mileage Distance -- GCM) between airports with 500 mile minimum for elites. This is the standard used for Lifetime miles also. Those flying mostly sub-500 segments sometimes prefer to not use the minimum rule.
The definition for CPM is a bit vaguer, especially since CPM is used in multiple different situations.
Believe for the purpose of this thread, GS qualification, folks are using
PQD CPM = UA PQDs / UA BIS
Note there is no direct evidence UA uses this CPM number for GS Qualification but it is a number FTers like to use.
As for BIS, UA does not report this number your account and it needs to be manually tracked.
One way is to make use that PQMs are based on BIS but there may be a multiplier / bonus for high end fares. If always in 2x PQMs, you could divide by 2 to get BIS.
rwsteelers had a good method for determining UA BIS -- the change in Lifetime Miles from the first of the year.
Hello:
To help with collection of qualification metrics for global services, I created a Google Doc. This will be useful for future members. For ease of use, I created a form which feeds into a spreadsheet. The spreadsheet and form does not require a google account and is free to use.
Similar spreadsheets were created in years past, so I'm hoping to continue this tradition. Please take the time to enter your stats into the spreadsheet. Many thanks

I was kind of expecting to cross the GS threshold this year for the first time (IAH based)
2013 - 2016 1K with spends in the mid teens
2017 1K Status with: PQM 158,335; PMS 67.5; PQD $28,787
2018 YTD: PQM 279,831; PQS 123; PDQ $64,616
Seems like my stats are in line with GS invite criteria but I've not yet been notified nor do I see a pending or under review notice on my Premier Progress page.
Any thought on if might still get notified for 2019 GS?
Thanks!

Out of EWR doesn't look good. But I don't know what your spend rate was last year. My nephew had a similar spend in 2017 out of SFO with previous years of GS and much higher spend rate over those years. He appealed it and surprisingly they rolled over and gave him the GS invite for 2018. You may want to check this route out if you don't get the invite for 2019.

In years past, qualifications typically happen between Jan 4-8 ... If you haven't heard by the 8th, you are probably borderline and final decisions for review cases for 1K-GS qualifiers will be settled around the 3rd week of Jan. I would send in a request for review if you haven't heard by the 10th of Jan or so.... but with your stats, I think you're getting in the first wave in Jan.

I always thought $50k was the minimum but my coworker made it at 47k and now that I look here, I see lots in the mid 40s. I've always been 55k+ and sweating every year for requal. guess I don't have to sweat next year!

Indeed, seems pretty easy (relatively speaking) these days. Same as last 2 years...

I will be very bummed if I don't make it. I am probably on the bubble. 146K PQM and $45K spend, but based out of SFO. Anyone know how to request reconsideration?

Are you currently GS or what is your history the last couple of years? I had around 32K PQD and was 1K. The next year I hit 60K PQD and got in out of SFO a couple of years ago.

Didn't make it in the initial re-quals, finished up travel for the year with the following stats:
306K PQM
$58K PQD
95 PQS
All but ~$4K are United PQD, had an ANA trip or two in between.
Qualified last year with similar stats, got notified for first time last January, had been 1-K for two years, then 4 years GS prior. Boston based.
Fingers crossed!
The waiting begins....

Been 1k for a few years and in prior years PQD have been pretty low (i.e. $12-15k). This year I switched jobs and have been traveling a lot since Jan. Finished my last trip and here are my stats. I am new to this, but after reading it sounds like 1st week of Jan is notifications for 1st time GS qualification. It seemed like there was some discussion on prior years' spend as part of the consideration. It's clear from reading the thread it plays a role in re-qualifications, but does it also play a role in 1st time qualifications?
Here are my year end stats if I did the math correctly on CPM and BIS:
All United Metal stats:
PQD: $89,105
PQM: 348,087
BIS: 239,643
CPM: $0.37
I think I'm good, but what I'm getting tripped up on is the prior year's spend, which as stated prior have been pretty low.

Nephew has been GS for years has a $48K PQD (UA metal) out of SFO and still no invite. Sounds like he didn't make round one and is a bit nervous. He initially didn't get the invite last year with around a $43K spend petitioned it and got the invite for 2018 but he is concerned about having to possibly petition them again for a 2019 invite. Anybody with spend rates in this area out of SFO get the GS invite?

LOWEST PQD for GS?
Very curious about this. I've been 1K annualy for almost 10 years. I book 100% of domestic (US) flights just straight First. I book all international couch with my upgrades and fly Polaris. I've reached 145,000 miles a year minimum for ten years, but my spend is way low, like $15 - $20 K total. Anyone ever hit GS with that kind of spend?
