Curious, can 1k voice handle companion E+ requests? I have a set of flights at the end of the year so no rush.

I contacted UA.com (CS via e-mail) (on June 27) about the GPU not having been put back into my account after the last failed upgrade (June 24) - normally is it fairly prompt but this time it did not appear so contacted them about the missing GPU and to be safe the refund of the UK passenger tax (as problems with refunds recently). UA came back to me within a few hours on June 27 and the GPU was back in my account and she told me to wait 7-10 days for the refund (standard verbiage). I have always been impressed with the customer service side of UA and think they receive many complaints (not a job I would want).

Sometimes within a few hours, sometimes a day, but recently it's been quite prompt.

I always use the contact function on United.com 'Future travel' where I get a response within 1-2 hours.

Is it just me or the actual response time is much longer?
I have emailed them twice in the past 6 months: once for wet luggage and once for a cancelled flight. In both times it has taken over 4 days to respond (this time it's been 4 days and still did not hear anything other than the automated email).

Is this normal?
An update - it has been over two weeks (and 9 days since I have sent a reminder) and still no response.
I was expecting more, especially considering I was using the dedicated email address they specifically provide their most loyal elites.
Great service by United.

I have been constantly asking them about an EC261 claim which they seem to be ignoring. Very tedious.

similar case here.

I added at the end of my note that if not answered, I will be forced to take legal actions (which i will). I wonder if they will reply.

The response time for EC reg 261 is 3-4 weeks. Have you waited that long?

I sent an email about a relatively minor issue at 4pm yesterday, had a reply by 9am this morning, and a ETC a couple hours after that.

Hard for anything to be any faster than that.

Is 1Kvoice or the customer service form having issues?
I emailed 1kvoice and did not get an automated response email. Therefore, I sent a message using the customer service form however I also didn't get an automated response and I typically always do

1KVoice email issues?

This morning I sent a note to [email protected] asking about credit for a Thai flight I took a month or so ago. Much to my surprise, I got the following bounce message:

The original message was received at Sun, 17 Sep 2017 10:35:03 -0500
from m0095041.ppops.net [127.0.0.1]

----- The following addresses had permanent fatal errors -----
<[email protected]>
(reason: 554 5.7.1 <[email protected]>: Relay access denied)

----- Transcript of session follows -----
... while talking to mx1.kana-united.com.:
DATA
<<< 554 5.7.1 <[email protected]>: Relay access denied
554 5.0.0 Service unavailable
<<< 554 5.5.1 Error: no valid recipients
Obviously the first thing I did was to check that I truely sent it with a “[email protected]” address, which I did.

Is this a known thing? Has 1KVoice disappeared and somehow I missed it?

Thanks!

Looks like a misconfiguration. Weekends with United IT are never a good time...
