Flying SAN-ORD today and returning tomorrow. Can't check-in online because the reservation shows my outbound is ORD-SAN (tomorrow) and return is SAN-ORD (today). The message says I have to wait 24 hours to check-in! LOL. Hopefully, the airport will be able to check me in and I'll still have my upgrade seat.

Flight taken on 3/12 still not showing. Was told by MP agent that it did not show, because it was upgraded - not sure if this is part of the "ON-syndrome" mentioned here? Was told to be patient and wait 7 days for it to post.

Not a direct answer to your question, but you should still be able to change your seats even if you're auto checked in - at least, I've been able to do so using the website (but you have to go through the check-in page again, not through the reservation page).

My DCA-ORD-DCA (7MAR-9MAR) flights were purchased in E class in Feb. At that time I applied 2 regional upgrades. In the post-merger ticket it was showing as ON class. According to UAInsider's information there is a fix due the week of March 19th. Just curious if that is still on track?
There is no light to this issue. No updates from UA Insider so far. I called Mileage Plus yesterday and was told to wait till end of the month. Who knows when they are going to fix it...it's very embarrassing that the system takes more than three weeks to fix anything at this point.

Call. You likely won't be able to print a BP until it's fixed. If this is the outbound leg, you may not be able to check in. Or if you are the relaxed type you can wait till you get to the airport (and just hope there isn't a long line for check in).

Slight Headway?

Well...I finally reached an 1k agent who helped redeposit a missing upgrade. My wait time on hold was only 1 hour--an improvement--to get the issue resolved. She also said she credited my account for two missing flights on 3/2 and 3/4. Hopefully, they will show up. My flight from 3/17 already posted. I am still skeptical about the upgrade process, as I was not upgraded this week on 2 flights where I am ALWAYS upgraded. Spent some time talk to FA on board, at the gate, and the United Club. Everyone is very frustrated and very vocal about it.

Things getting worse

It's been a tough week for travel.
  1. Miles from multi segment flights are only posting 1 segment.
  2. Miles from flight in January still not posting (after 3 calls).
  3. Luggage was lost on Sunday. Once it arrived at CRW the folks there held it for 12 hours and told me not to come collect it since it was already on truck for delivery. I went to airport and literally walked in the to the back office and took my bag.
  4. Was told it will take 10-12 weeks to get reimbursed for costs associated with lost luggage.
  5. Upgrades to R posting as Z (no complaints on that one ).
  6. Can't change my seats on the new .bomb. Firefox detecting an infinite redirection loop.
  7. 2 GPU's and 1 RPU not redepositing.
  8. Talked to a bunch of UA employees and it's deplorable about the lack of training they have received.

Things going from bad to worse. Just remember that we and many employees are all in the same boat.

I agree. Front line employees and in it with us more than ever. The suits got problems. Would anyone want to be a suit at UA these days? Not.

United/Continental web and phone consolidation a Diaster

The United/Continental reservation consolidation is not going well. I tried to change a flight. The web page couldn't do it and referred me to a phone number. The phone number (for Gold Cards) told me my wait would be more than 30 minutes and that I should go to the web page. Circular error? I was on hold for 50 minutes and it took another 20 minutes to learn the cost of changing the ticket was prohibitive. So much for the benefits of a million miler.

Angry 10 days and reservations STILL not ticketed

Booked reservations on 3/11 for travel in September and October via websupport as my e-certs would not take via United's "new and improved" website.

I know that COdbaUA does do "instant ticketing" and I can live with waiting a day or two but NOT 10 days!

I have PM'd UA Insider with the PNR's after roughly 6 days and not even a courtesy response to the effect of "sorry I'm hammered but I'll have someone look into it as soon as I can" (or something similar)

I called reservations today and was told that "everything is fine" with my reservations but reservations waiting to be ticketed are being handled based on travel dates with those closer in being ticketed first.

Sorry but this is a big Whiskey-Tango-Foxtrot afaic and totally not acceptable as a major airline vs a glorified regional carrier would not have this issue (and I'm not even gonna get into the issue that there was (n.b. was) upgrade availability up until yesterday)



There-now I feel better and thanks for letting me rant

You have my sympathies - I cancelled a flight that failed to ticket after 20 hours because it was clear it wasn't going to emerge from batch hell before the free 24 hour cancellation deadline, and in the meantime the R availability I spotted had gone away....

UA Insider, collectively, must have gotten frustrated and angry and quit, telling Smisek to take "this job and you know what" on the way out.

I would, too, if I was fed bs garbage to relay to the educated masses.
