I'm expecting it for my upcoming ATL-IAD flight too

Just booked a quick tix SFO-SEA for July, econ+ seats came right up, whole thing took 5 minutes. I had been told that my Silver Elite got me econ+ w/o charge but I guess not. I'm perfectly willing to pay $80 r/t to be comfy. Go new United! Where's Gordon?

Good ol' DTS. I've found that even though they have the 3 day policy, if you call Sato (or whomever you go through) they will ticket it early. Agree that the new "feature" is super annoying though!!

Yes, I often do that!

Sure your new MP# is there? I made two reses today, unticketed and both were there in seconds.

But I snagged the good seats, so you're too late.

There are no good seats on an EMB120!

Alright, it's there now... I stand corrected. I guess just a little slower than I had come to expect, but not sure why since yours was fast!

Silver , as of 3/3, not longer have access to E+ (for free) at booking. They do have access at Checkin.

two new issues today

I was trying to get from DIA to LAX today. Flight went mx for a couple of hours, and rescheduled to leave at about 2:45. From 2:45 to 3:30 we sat while the FAs and GAs tried to reconcile the manifest as a result of people moving on and off the flight. They were very frustrated.

Then, we pulled away from the gate and sat on the tarmac for an additional 30 minutes. This was due to the manifest and associated weight and balance issues.

FAs and the pilot in both cases were blaming SHAREs.

Had to call 1K line to book intra-Asia award on UA & SQ. Agent could simply not do it. Confirmed available seats, but unable to grab them. Half an hour (incl. hold) excercise to no avail! Not including two botched phone attempts earlier in the day!

Is this the new standard procedure?

Good idea. ^ No, we can't find any indication that we're checked in, just the usual "ticketed and confirmed" as per other future reservations. Of course, we're not as familiar with the new site as we were with the former UA site.

Yes, it's the return of a round trip. The thing is that neither of us was able to check in on the outbound so we couldn't have checked the little "auto" box that others have seen.

In fact, the website told me it had no record of my reservation and it took upwards of 30 minutes for staff at SEA to "sync" me or whatever the afternoon before the flight. We've gone from one extreme to the other.

This morning at ZRH it took the competent and friendly SwissAir front counter employee about 15 minutes simply to reseat us together on our second flight, this after reading through "the book," and consulting with colleagues and a supervisor repeatedly.

We're flying SIN-HKG-SFO-LAX-DEN tomorrow. When I went to do OLCI, our seats were missing for HKG-SFO (had "decent" seats in E+), so I called the 1K Desk. They've confirmed that we're still in our original seats, but the website has "SEE AGENT" on the BPs under the seat assignment.. Hoping we don't show up to SIN to find out that we're in the middle row of E-.

Also had a 40~ minute delay on SFO-HKG due to SHARES. I did not catch the specifics, though.

Had a similar delay sat on the end of the runway until they could get the weight (calculated by Shares) to the pilot.

No INTL iphone boarding pass

Tried to check-in on the iPhone app for my ORD-LHR leg yesterday. It worked but was only offered email or fax as delivery options for my boarding pass. Is the iPhone intl boarding pass not working?

TBH it didn't work for me in Jan on intl routings, so i wouldn't expect it to work now.

But whoever did check you in probably left the box checked, thing they were doing you a favor.

On the email or fax BP did you get a REAL boarding pass or a "Doc Check required" BP. If the latter then it won't generate a mobile boarding pass.

Also for some reason if you are connecting it also won't issue a mobile boarding pass.
