I know the emphasis is the get a combined airline as quickly as possible, but I really think CO should have delayed the cutover to $CARES until everything was a-ok. Obviously there have been a lot of problems, many that aren't being acknowledged by COdbaUA :td: :mad: |

When this thread started on 3/3 I thought "oh, don't worry, it'll all be fixed by the time I fly"....not a hope in hell ! ! !
But what I really don't like is that none of the execs have put their head over the parapet to apologize in any form, and I do not buy this "they are too busy fixing things" to respond which some posts have alluded to. UAinsider seems to, unfortunately, have been silenced, and unless it is my imagination I am seeing less posts with the footer "these are my opinions and not those of my employer United". |
My mileage posting has just gotten weird. I'm experiencing the same issues as others, namely that I'm starting with a negative initial balance in PQM (this was fine after the changeover and the first few posts, but has not occurred).
I also had one segment from the day after the merger that posted correctly, but has since completely vanished from my record. Has anyone else had that happen? |

Missing Miles
I thought missing problems miles were improving, but for me they are just racking up.
I am currently missing 3379 EQM's and 5 Segments. This is all from post 3/3 except 1 from back in January which I was told 2 times would post by 3/15. Most of my missing flights are from multi leg trips. Over the weekend will have to update my Excel spreadsheet to figure out what I am missing in terms of RDM's. :mad::mad: |

Ugh - why am I still being charged for domestic mileage upgrades when: 1) I'm an 1K; 2) Completion screen shows no charge. :rolleyes:

Missing mobile phone number?
I called 1K reservations today because I was inside the 100 hour window for a flight, united.com showed RN9, and I wasn't upgraded. After 20 minutes of lovely conversation with Cathy, her support desk told her it was because my mobile phone number was missing from my "new" Mileage Plus account profile. After adding it, she said, "It should clear, but I can't get it to now." She called me back about an hour later to say that she cleared it manually, and apologized again. Has anyone else heard of this? How can a missing mobile phone number possibly affect CPUs clearing? I do give Cathy kudos for following up and calling me to let me know she finally got it cleared.

OK, I just have to give "the other side" by saying how things have worked correctly for me so far.
I flew on 3/2 and everything posted correctly within a couple of days, including the 100% RDM bonus still in effect on that day. I flew on 3/16 on a Z fare. The miles posted a few days later. I think I received too many RDMs. I was given a 50% RDM bonus for the Z fare and a 75% RDM bonus for being Premier Platinum. I was also given a 50% PQM bonus. Whatever. I'll take it. I booked an international flight for May last weekend, with mileage/co-pay upgrades both ways. I selected a 7-day hold for $21. The held reservation shows on my reservations listing and my credit card was charged $21. I have seat assignments in the proper upper classes the whole way. Now when I go to pay for the held reservation tomorrow who knows what will happen? But I've got some time until I fly to get them to fix it if something goes wrong. Oh yes, all my United/Continental miles merged correctly as well (though most were United miles). I write this just to reflect at least one positive experience on this board. |

If you rely on miles you didn't rightfully earn and find on 20 December 2012 that they have been taken away, will you hurry and book a flight to make up the miles? Complain to MileagePlus they took something you didn't deserve and ask to carry forward your status into the following calendar year? The only "positive experience" will be when we all get credit for what we've earned, nothing more and nothing less. |
