That explains why there has been no update on this thread since 03/16.

Some customer service, eh? :td:

i thought this was all taken care of...flying next week, now see the dreaded 'a modification has been made' error on my itin, i'm guessing due to a cleared upgrade. i just don't feel like spending yet another hour on hold with UA...i called the premier line, got the message and waited about five minutes before i gave up. i do have other things to do today.

sent a pm to UA Insider, hopefully s/he can help.

did i misunderstand that this issue had been cleared up?

You are better off calling the 1K line ... UA Insider has gone dark

I have an award ticket later this year LAX-NRT-SIN-NRT-LAX in business. I had all segments in business except SIN-NRT. I decided to book at the time and keep checking for business on that single segment. It became available so I called to make the change (it wouldn't allow me to do it online) and after a 45-minute wait, a friendly but not entirely helpful agent was entirely confused about the request. I explained I simply wanted to move from Y to C on that one segment. I could see it on EF and United.com and knew it was there. She checked through her system and didn't see it, so she went onto the website to check. Lo and behold she found the seat!

It required a 35-minute wait for a supervisor to complete the reissue but it eventually got done, only with the assistance of United.com. Sigh. Total call time: approx. 90 minutes.

My segment flown on 3/12 just posted today.

Since the prior ones were delayed and incorrect, I guess being just delayed represents a major improvement - things are looking up :D

Does seem odd that we haven't heard from UA Insider in awhile.

I'm no longer a 1k, which might explain my long hold times...based on what I'm reading about 1k and GS upgrade snafus, though, and TOD or paid upgrades, I'm not sure if the proper emoticon for losing 1k is :( or :p or simply :D.

Meanwhile, my reservation is still hosed.

Well, COdbaUA screwed the proverbial pooch yet again!

3 remaining reservations finally ticketed with 2 of 3 ticketing correctly using an e-cert on each but the 3rd one ticketed at full value without using the e-cert and I'm now I'm being told that the difference will be refunded back to my credit card.

On the phone with COdbaUA as we speak telling them to fix the reservation or cancel it and re-do it correctly as I'm not giving them an interest free loan while I wait God knows how long for the refund <insert goalie is not mad but goalie is wikid pi$$ed here>

Milage plus rip off

We just paid extra $$ to keep Milage plus Silver status - when I tried to make a reservation, I discovered I can no longer select an Economy plus seat until the day prior to the flight. This is major change from the pre-merger program.

What a rip!!

In addition to being more expensive than most other criers out of PHX, they have become more greedy than even US Airways.

Those changes have been public for 6 months... sorry you didn't see them before committing the $$.

Use this number

I've posted this elsewhere, but it's worth repeating (i had to go hunting around for it, so this is for me also) this will get you to a human almost instantaneously, no status needed:

http://as00.estara.com/UI/gui.php?do...amp=1201839058

that said, the agent may not be able to solve your issue without calling the help desk, so you may yet be doomed to a long hold. i've been on hold--after explaining the problem to a nice guy in houston--for 47 minutes so far trying to get the a modification has been made to your itinerary message to go away. He himself is on hold with the help desk..hasn't gotten through to a person yet (he's been back to check in with me, though...bless his heart).

Okay, seriously?!? I've been on hold nearly an hour and a half. But there aren't any problems here.

Better: after holding for an hour and a half, I was disconnected. Oh, well, at least I won't be up all night on hold.

We're there, and there, and there, and there!

Little glitch resolved quickly

Well, I just had my first glitch with the new system.

I had a 7-day hold on an international reservation with mileage/co-pay upgrades in both directions. I tried to finalize the purchase online and was unsuccessful. I tried 3 different browsers and kept getting error messages. Unfortunately, each transaction resulted in a separate hold on my credit card even though none went through.

So I called the Premiere phone desk to get ticketed. I was on hold for probably around 5 minutes. I presented the issue to the representative and was transferred to the online department. The lady there was able to process the payment. I was able to see the reservation completed while on the phone, though it was not yet ticketed.

Total time on the phone including the hold was less than 14 minutes.

A few minutes later the reservation showed as ticketed online. The transaction is complete.

I then tried to purchase the Travel Insurance and again received an error message. I'll try again tomorrow.

Has there been any solution to the "Upgrade Summary" issue?

If not can anyone advise which contact point to use to resolve a 'missing' SWU/GPU (2 GPUs applied to the same same segment)?

warreng24 Mar 24, 2012 9:09 pm

I think I found another issue:

Have an itinerary that I upgraded using a RPU.

Schedule change occurred within the last week, so I confirm the schedule change online.

Then I go to change seats in the upgraded cabin. I get taken to a page asking me how I want to "pay" for the upgrade.

UGH.

Hi Everyone, Just a quick note to let you know, while it’s not inclusive of everything, I’ve made some updates to post #1 of this thread. Also, thanks for your patience. Will get to some of the other hot-topic threads tomorrow too.

Hi transpac and watteng24, if you’d like to PM with specifics, I’d like to look into each of these cases further.

ON bookings

Shannon; saw this update:

Flight upgraded to ON. These flights are not posting miles or PQM/PQS class of service bonuses correctly. For flights going forward, we hope to have a fix in place on 3/27. To correct postings for previous dates, we’ll be refreshing these calculations later in the week after the fix goes in (updated 4:30p, March 24)

Does this mean you will be correcting RPU upgrades pre 3/3 requested for flights not yet flown with ON farecode to R (or RN) or will you be keeping these at ON and updating the mileage posting system to post these.

Just concerned that moving from ON to R/RN does NOT loose already confirmed and locked upgrades.

Also infants still an issue on legacy records; and Print Itin shows legacy infants as an ADULT! and does faring all wrong

BTW: Thanks for the help
