Try looking at the ereceipt if you can and see what the fare class was

Confirmed by MPSC: Reservations mistakenly confirmed in ON instead of R are posting as award reservations. Mystery solved as to why miles didn't post. On hold now as she is getting it fixed with the "other desk"

If any one is in this situation and its been more than 5 days , i'd give the MPSC a call. It should show up in their computer as 0- tell them it was not an award fare and to look at ereceipt

That's half the problem. The other half is that the new equivalent of upgrading from C to NF is *supposed* to book into ON. ON has two meanings: upgrade from paid C into 3-cabin F, as well as an award into two cabin F using "Standard" miles (the old CO EasyPass). It seems to me either the system will have to know the difference, or UACO will need to change one or the other's fare code.

Had the rudest agent i've encountered in yrs. first time i had to talk to a supe. She told me that indeed they resubmitted new fare class for credit. MPSC agent was beyond comprehension and hysterical.

As for the ON waitlist thing, Insider stated an automatic fix was in progress. But since it was 2 class and ON, thats likely why they did not post.

I am still a tad afraid that rez was screwed up b/c the past PNR receipt can no longer be reviewed.

Sure hope to see the miles show up... And from the return trip too

Thank you!

I just called 1K line to xfer to MP ("there, and there, and there, and THERE!") and the nice agent fixed the same problem for me. (Pre 3/3 confirmed CPU that went to ON on 2-cabin, flew out as ON, no mileage credit.)

wxguy, good point about the double usage of ON as standard award and biz->first upgrade... doesn't seem like that's going to work properly for mileage crediting.

BTW, was reading about the shrinking mileage between most city pairs on the other thread while holding, and I hear, "At United, we're making the world smaller!" LOL.

Wow. I have been on hold on the "Premier" line for 92 minutes now and still running...I had 2 bulkhead seats for my wife and I (8A and B) on a 757 to Kona on Monday...they were there yesterday but now my wife has no seat...great....[/QUOTE]

Wow. My only suggestion is to "tell" robo-voice that you are calling for a "new booking" not an "existing booking" (or whatever the right verbiage is).

Anecdotaly, I have had much, much better luck that way.

FYI PMUA was able to incorporate this - just add in "for mm/dd/yyyy" in between "Itinerary" and "sent", or at the end of the subject line.

Agreed the Subject lines should be more personalized. But as a potential workaround, MS Outlook lets you change the subject of an e-mail. Gmail doesn't, and neither does Thunderbird and I'm not sure about any Mac programs. It's the single reason I haven't completely uninstalled MS Outlook.

I was in the same situation (I discovered this by looking at a past receipt). I PM'ed UA Insider last night with details and they are looking into this.

For future reservations, they are planning to automatically fix the booking code (see the first post of this thread and the response thread).

Checking Reserved Upgrades

On the former .bomb, you were able to check where your SWU and CR1s were applied to...whether it be reserved for a specific future flight or redeemed for a flight that has occurred. Can someone please point me to where I can find that in the new website? It's driving me nuts.

Please Modify the IVR for Keypad Entry

Dear UAInsider,

I don't know if this issue has been brought up amongst the myriad of concerns/complaints, but ever since the cutover, the interactive voice response system (IVR) is a total pain. It needs to have the ability to recognize keypad entries in lieu of voice response.

The system recognizes my phone number from the database, and it asks to confirm if it is Luv2ctheworld. Either Yes or No in the form of a verbal response. It does not accept keypad entry (1 for Yes or 2 for No). The same issue applies when it is asking for the next question, domestic or international travel. Strangely, after that, keypad entries do work.

The biggest problem, and one that wasted a lot of time trying to connect to the 1K line is that the voice response doesn't pick up verbal responses well in a noisy background (like an airport, when I most need it). So the system winds up not recognizing my answer because its too noisy, and it won't accept my keypad entry, and dumps me into the general call line, with a wait time of 30+ minutes.

I have to find a quiet place somewhere to get connected (and the wait time was only a couple minutes on the elite line).

Passengers and security look at you funny after yelling into the phone really loud YES YES YES.

So, PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE get this to the appropriate people... it's probably a simple setting to change on the IVR system.

Thanks.

Ditto: Voice prompt system does not recognize "yes"

That's the plan, except I don't have my card yet! Oy. I can't print out one either so I will just have to show the UA mobile app which has my status or they can look it up. This is all just so annoying. Little things here and there.

Thanks for your suggestion!

Isn't ON for saver 3-cabin F, not standard 3-cabin F? (I think standard 3-cabin F is something like FN?)

You are correct - anything X/I/O (along with the xN versions) is at the cheaper saver levels, both for UA as well as *A flights

I stand corrected. From sbm12's excellent post:

SaverPass Award Seats
ON - Elite (Plat/1K/GS) SaverPass First Award
O - Non-Elite and Low Elite SaverPass First Award
IN - Elite (Plat/1K/GS) SaverPass Business Award
I - Non-Elite and Low Elite SaverPass Business Award
XN - Elite SaverPass Coach Award
X - Non-Elite SaverPass Coach Award

EasyPass Award Seats
FN - EasyPass First Award
JN - Elite/CC EasyPass Business Award
ZN - Non-Elite EasyPass Business Award (tracks to the Z bucket)
YN - Elite/CC EasyPass Coach Award
HN - Non-Elite EasyPass Coach Award (tracks to the H bucket)

Upgrade Awards
ON - C->F on 3-cabin aircraft
PN - B/M-Up for Elites (tracks to the P bucket)
RN - Elite Upgrade to Business/Domestic F
R - Non-Elite Upgrade to Business/Domestic F
But the problem remains - how will the mileage crediting system know the difference between the two ONs, one a free award ticket and the other an upgrade from a paid fare?
