YYZ - In order to use the Nexus lanes flying in to YYZ you insert your Nexus card into the machine and look into the "glasses" until it recognizes your irises, I don't think it would work without the iris scan, and the rules say you need the iris scan to fly into Canada.
So bizarre.

The GE kiosk requires fingerprints on file. If your children don’t have them, they can’t use the kiosk but you can all use the special services desk nearby.
My daughter ended up with an XXXXX on her GE kiosk receipt. They advised to just go to the desk - even for kids with fingerprints on file. Over the age of 13 - everything should be fine. |
I have an international flight from YYZ T1 next month. Can I use my Nexus card for the expedited security? Does it matter where I’m going, as long as I have the card? I always have it for the return trip. Saves having to go through the long lines. |

Thanks. Forgot to ask, do I need to add my trusted traveler number to my advance passenger info? From my understanding, this info needs to appear on your boarding pass to be able to use the Nexus line. |
No. Unless you are going to the US, nothing appears on your BP. You need to show your card physically to get access to the Nexus security lane.

Isn't the KTN linked to the ticket whenever you go through immigration? |

To my knowledge, no US Preclearance Office in Canada does NEXUS Walk-In Appointments. If this is Global Entry, you may try GE on Arrival, but I doubt it is open at around midnight.

How long does the CBP keep violation records?
About 17 years ago I drove my car across the border into the USA. At the border crossing, a random search found a cannabis roach in the back seat ash tray (nothing left of it but the cardboard filter). This was a shock to me as I never sit in the back seat. The CBP searched the car and me and found nothing else, then allowed me to continue into the USA.
I'm now planning to apply for a Nexus card and on the application is asks "Have you ever been found in violation of customs or immigration laws or other federal import laws?" Was this incident a violation of the law if I was not denied entry? Is there a time limit the CBP would keep these records? Getting denied a Nexus application, will it affect me getting into the USA using my regular Canadian passport in the future? |
I helped set my parents up with Interviews which happen to be on the Civic Holiday (Aug 5). I would assume this would not be a holiday for the CBSA agents in the NEXUS office (I'm not sure if they're even off throughout the year)? Thanks.
