Yes being a Nexus holder as an Indian citizen and Canadian PR, I was specifically told during my interview to always have my Indian passport and Canadian PR card with me all the time while travelling (includes land borders aswell).

Paper Applications are no longer accepted

Per the main page of the CBSA Nexus page, updated May 19:

In an effort to modernize the application process, the CBSA no longer offers paper application forms for the NEXUS program. Please apply online

If you have completed and mailed in a paper application, the Canadian Processing Centres will accept and process your application.

If it has been more than three months since you completed and mailed in a paper application and you have not received a notice advising you that your application has been processed, please contact one of the Canadian Processing Centres.

I apologise if this was asked before, but I just updated my DL on the CBP portal. Do I have to shuffle into a NEXUS office in Canada to do the same?

Hi There,

I got my NEXUS status/card when a couple of years ago while on H1B. Now I'm returning to Toronto for a short stay at the end of August to activate my H1B Extension (because I traveled during my application for extension, I have to recross the border on the new paperwork). Can I visit the enrollment center at YYZ to update my information with my H1B extension, or will I have to revisit an enrollment center after it's activated by CBP?

If i have to revisit after the activation, can this be done at the Global Entry office at SFO? Or does it have to be a NEXUS office?

Or am I better off just spending a day during my visit to Toronto driving to the border at Fort Erie to activate my H1B extension and then updating my NEXUS upon recrossing the Canadian border?

Do I need to call/go into a NEXUS office to notify them of a new job?

Kiraly Jun 29, 2019 12:18 pm

Not necessary.

Actually, it depends. If the change to employment affects Nexus eligibility, you must report to a Nexus Enrollment Center.

How would changing residential address affect eligibility to the program?

Perhaps moving to certain foreign countries would?

I am in a unique situation. I have held TN status for employer A and was recently approved for a new TN for employer B. I will be leaving employer A but have business travel before I go. When I return, can I still use GE to enter? I'm afraid the CBP officer inadvertently invalidated my Employer A TN in the system (he began to cross out Employer A Stamps before asking me if I was still working there). Both TNs and i94s should still be valid. Thanks.

When in doubt, go see an agent. Not worth the potential strike against you in the system

Hi,
I will be travelling with my family and are all Nexus Member. We have a connection in PHL from an international airport. My son and daughter don't have their fingerprint on file. Could we use the Global Entry Kiok using our Nexus membership. I'm a bit confused since I found that information on the CBP website:https://help.cbp.gov/app/answers/det...lobal-entry%3F.
'm a NEXUS/SENTRI member. How do I use Global Entry

If you are enrolled in NEXUS and CBP has your fingerprints and passport information on file, you will automatically be able to use Global Entry kiosks. If you do not have passport information or fingerprints on file, you must go to a Trusted Traveler enrollment center (Global Entry, NEXUS, or SENTRI) to supply this information.

If we can use the kiosk, do I scan all the passport together?

Thanks,

The GE kiosk requires fingerprints on file. If your children don’t have them, they can’t use the kiosk but you can all use the special services desk nearby.

Hello domtarlsq,

You cannot use the Global Entry kiosk unless the CBP has your fingerprints on file.

Each passenger scans their own passport. They then verify their name and flight information. At that point, they are instructed to scan their fingerprints. After the fingerprints are matched, the customs declaration is completed on the screen, a photo is taken and the receipt, which is generally used to exit the immigration and customs inspection area, is printed.

This procedure must be repeated for each person in your party.
