No machines at US airports. Is the cruise that terminates in LA coming from Canada, or somewhere else? If its coming from Canada, you may be able to use the crew lines, as my card does have a boat, plane, and car on it, but its only valid for trips to/from Canada.

At the YUL Nexus office, they have signs up that say you have to come in person for passport or DL change, but can do address and employer by phone.
So what's the deal with employment information? When I had up visa details updated at the Fort Erie office, I forgot to mention the change in employers. The officer updating my details also did not ask, although the employer is on the visa itself. Is it something we have to keep Nexus informed of? |
Not at Vancouver cruise terminal

Any update on this? I am also on a cruise terminating in Vancouver after visiting US ports. I have to call Nexus this afternoon about something else and will ask about the cruise terminal protocols. We regularly use the crew lines (our daughter is too young for iris scans), so it would be great (OK- better than great) to be able to bypass the regular lines at the cruise terminal too. I'll post the answer that I get today.

Hi All,
I received my Nexus card yesterday and it's asking me to activate it on GOES. I can't see ANYWHERE on Goes as to where to actually activate it. Any ideas? Thanks! |
Try the very front page in the bottom right! ;)
You don't log in to do this. |
You would think I could just follow directions :)
Thanks! |
Spring Break Insanity at YUL
Though I was able to avoid the immigration line thanks to the Nexus machines, the gatekeepers just before the duty free at YUL were not letting anyone by as the customs hall was packed. So I had to wait forty minutes to get through to the hall to use Nexus. Security afterwards was also jammed, but that line moved quickly. I asked a security guard to see if I could queue jump, he went and talked to the gatekeepers, and they said no, it would anger the others in line. Missed my flight. Normally on Saturday mornings I'm in the lounge less than 10 minutes after exiting the taxi.
Lesson learned. |

HUH? I thought that is what Nexus is if the point of entry has Nexus set-up!?!? They were worried about angering others that do NOT have Nexus?
NEXUS allows you to fast-track through immigration, but not customs. |

Just had an odd experience at YYZ T1 US Customs...I went through the Nexus machines without a problem but the US Customs folks that normally just take the receipt stopped me and asked for my Nexus card. I gave it to him and asked if there has been a change because no one has ever asked for it before and then he proceed to demand my passport me, question me about my trip, stamp my passport and lecture me that my Nexus card is like a blockbuster card (in that you need to have it, which ironically isn't actually true any photo id will work). Anyway, not a huge deal but added a few minutes and just struck me as odd. Perhaps he is one of the agent that doesn't like Nexus too much. I thought the lecture was very odd especially considering I had my card. |

Re-read what he said. He said he got through the immigration line just fine, but had issues with customs.

The problem was with the doc checking airport staff, who don't let you into duty free, customs hall without a bp and your blue customs form filled in.
