Nexus vehicle registration hasn't been required for quite some time, perhaps since very shortly after they combined the air/land/marine programs into one.

The more I've used Nexus -- especially in Calgary -- the more I've come to enjoy it. Took less than a minute to clear Canada Customs last night at YYC having flown in on UA from SFO.

No more having to rush off one's flight to get to the front of the customs line ... now I can stop off at the washroom and leisurely saunter to the underutilized Nexus section.

PS -- no one asked me for vehicle registration information during my interview on Jan 30 of this year.

My NEXUS card (from 2002) expired in 2007. I decided to renew/revive it this morning (my passport has also expired and been renewed).

The online forms definitely contained the vehicle information from my original registration. Maybe only new applicants don't have to supply this info?

BTW, when I tried to get my GOES account, it asked if I'd ever had a NEXUS card. I answered yes, so I had to supply my NEXUS ID number. Well...the original cards did NOT have any ID number on them. Surprisingly, when I called, I immediately got a person (!) (no menu). He asked my details (name/DOB) and immediately gave me the number I needed.

Update ALL travel docs

My H1B visa was recently extended, so I filled out a new I94 on a recent crossing. Subsequently, the machine coughed up an E-D (expired document) form - went to secondary, no problems, they couldn't find an expired document and advised me to visit the NEXUS office on my next trip

When I did so, I explained the situation and was given a VERY stern talking-to by both the Cdn and US agents, the latter warned me that this was a card-revocable offense that she had noted in my file, and that I had been warned about updating documents at my interview. It never occurred to me that a renewal of an existing visa constituted a change of travel document, but I wasn't about to say so.

But I will be making a point of stopping in at the office whenever anything at all changes in my travel docs in future.

Both H1B and I94 are too short to search, so apologies if this has already been posted

That's correct, you have to update all your documents. DL is probably not as big a deal as I don't believe they automatically flag those expiry, but then again, when I went to get them to copy a DL, they asked if I was still a student (and I wasn't), then was given a warning that I needed to make sure I even updated them with employment status. But they certainly do flag anything to do with passport, visa's etc.

Moved but havn't received Nexus card yet - a problem??

I've been waiting for nearly 2 months for my Nexus card to arrive (which isn't atypical from what I"ve read) but I've just had to move to another apartment (within the same city). CanadaPost mail redirect is active now for my regular mail. Does anyone know if this will be enough? Or should I let the Nexus office know about my address change now, even though I havn't received my card yet?

I'd certainly call since a recent poster reported receiving his card within a week.

I would call and find out what is happening. I'm not clear if you are a new member, or an existing member who is waiting for an old Nexus card to be replaced with a new one. It is the latter category that were taking months to be sent cards - new members seemed to have their cards arrive within 1 - 2 weeks.

I'm not sure how the new cards are being sent, but some reported replacement cards were being sent registered mail, so forwarding wouldn't work. I would imagine they would, at a minimum, have a "do not forward" notation on the envelope.

Nexus lanes in Sarnia

When crossing the bridge from Canada to the U.S. and back, where are the Nexus lanes? Keep to the left or the right? Are they the same going and coming? Thanks.

My wife and I had our interviews at the same time in YYZ. I received my card 1 week after the interview, my wife's came a week after that. We were told to expect them within two weeks and to call if we hadn't received them by then.

They came in the regular mail delivery and were posted from Niagara Falls, NY I believe. I don't know what the procedure is for YHZ but I'd be following up with somebody if I hadn't received my card after 2 months!

Yikes I didn't realize that - I'm a new applicant... I'll call tomorrow....

Called Nexus (re: no card received since my interview on Feb11th). As it turns out there was a glitch in the system that they just noticed when they reviewed my file today, so it is finally getting processed... however, they asked me to log into my Nexus account to change my address (as I have just moved) right away, but alas my account has no 'change address' link! There is no 'Profile' link either, as described in the Nexus FAQ. Argh - what else could go wrong. I left my new address on the local Nexus office voicemail... hope they can change it for me from here...

*Update: looks like they were able to change my address online for me! It appears that the 'change mail-to address' option does not become available until the Nexus application goes through a particular stage - this must have been the glitch because the option is now available to me and my new address has already been input for me. Looking forward to getting my Nexus pass finally, after waiting for almost 3 months now...

Went to update my DL info today at YVR as I recently renewed it. I later looked on GOES to see the changes, and for the expiration date they put "07" for August. Oops. Hope it doesn't cause me trouble.

On a side note, as I was walking back to the domestic side, I noticed an 30 something year old Asian man walking out of the domestic secured area near the LINK building with his hands behind his back and two RCMP officers trailing him. They went out the first exit. Wonder what that was about...
