I see. So what happens if they ask to see the sticker? I get put in the regular customs line?
I would conjecture that you could show the guy your NEXUS card or let them know they hadn't put the sticker in yet.

Sorry if this has been answered but I tried searching for it.
I have been conditionally approved for Nexus and logged on to find the first interview at YEG is 28th Dec. but how soon after that I would get the Nexus card itself? The reason I ask is I have a trip soon after, 6th Jan., and would like to use it then. I could also select another centre for my interview, like YYC, but it just ain't that convenient to go down & back without taking off at least a whole work day. The soonest they have an opening is 12th Nov. so much sooner. Any input on how quickly the card arrives? |

IIRC, it took me about 10-11 calendar days after my interview to get my card.

But between Christmas and New Years there's no way his card will be processed that quickly. Get thee to YYC ASAP!

You don't need a sticker unless something goes wrong, or get the random CBP guy in the crew lane who has people flash it at him (this happened at SFO once for some reason).

Both Parents at the Interview!
Just a reminder for those registering their infants:
I read back a while in the thread, but missed this, but BOTH parents need to be at the interview for your infants Nexus enrollment, or you need a notarized letter from the other parent that you are fine to enroll them. Very annoying as it does not state this on the pending enrollment document you receive through GOES which lists what is mandatory for the meeting. I asked the Canadian side where it was listed, and she stated that "it isn't" and that they turn away a few parents each day who show up without the other parent. She did allow us to come back later in the day with both parents to complete the process - otherwise you need to get back in the YYZ appointment queue... next available was Jan 12th or so. Also, when we got to the US side of the house, they asked to see both my wife and I's Nexus cards and passports - not sure if that is a requirement, but that is what we were asked for. |

Thanks and seems that's the quickest way so might just have to do that.

Update: so much for that idea. I logged on to schedule my appointment in YYC just now and GOES advised first YYC slot open was 17th Jan.! I called the YEG number listed and the friendly staffer said I could've been seeing the Nov. date as it might've been a time slot someone else had booked and cancelled and it suddenly popped up when I was checking in but disappeared overnight. So guess this means 28th Dec. is my first chance and I'll have to take it barring getting an earlier time due to cancelaltion. I didn't think when I applied first few days of Sept. it would take 4+ months to complete the entire process and didn't think I'd be travelling to TPA without the card. |

Just keep checking back on the site for appointment cancellations - my original date was Dec 25, and I managed to bump it up to Oct 13, and I expect my card in the mail in the next few days. My partner had his interview a week before me and the card arrived almost excatly a week later.

New best thing about Nexus/Global Entry is saying no thanks to the flight attendant when they hand out the blue customs declaration forms.

This is in the customs line exiting the hall. I imagine one could be sent to secondary without the sticker, or maybe just get a scolding, I don't know. But I arrive at ord very often and am always asked to show the sticker.
Who asks for this sticker at what point? MIA there's a guy at the exit, he takes it and doesn't want the blue form and you leave. |

I attribute this to lack of knowledge across the board. |

In that vein, when using Nexus at YUL, you still have to talk to an agent right after using the kiosk and they seem to ask all the questions Nexus was supposed to avoid. |
