I picked up stickers for our passports in YVR in February precisely because I'm flying YQR-ORD-FLL in May. I hear that the ORD people check for the sticker quite often.

Fascinating.

I went to the YYZ to update my Nexus for my new visa.

I would have hated to have an interview, as they indicated that their systems had been down most of the day; folks were getting rescheduled.

Since my VISA is for the US, their systems were still up, and that went fine. I had to use the crew line for my flight, though, as they said it would still take some time (hours?) for the Nexus machines to update.

This led, of course, to my third set of ten finerprints in just over 5 days. (One, on E-1 interview. One, on obtaining I94 at Pearson for first trip. Now again, for one simple other visit. No wonder the bloody border is getting so frustrating...)

Though at one time D/L # had to be updated it is no longer required. I had a pleasant chat with a Cdn agent at the NEXUS office at YYZ T1 when renewing my passport info. She said that's the only information that MUST be updated. The rest doesn't matter any longer.

That's it? Seems pretty easy to make on my printer!

Mine has the sticker on page 48 instead on the back cover.

Maybe because I have too many security stickers on the back....

However, this is a warning for most people seeking a Nexus Pass....DON'T WASTE YOUR TIME AND MONEY ON IMMIGROUP. I paid $250 only to be rejected by DHS. The reason: Apparently, I had been visiting my girlfriend too often in the US already....so I became a "red flag" and was rejected. On two occasions (between January 16th and March 16th) I visited my girlfriend on a Thursday night, and drove back to Canada early on the following Monday, but DHS viewed this as visiting for 5 days on 2 occasions....and I was penalized.

Of course, I visited her often only because she had to renew her passport and this took a few weeks...so I visited her until her passport was received. Now we split the time equally north and south of the border so it's not as much of an issue...unless you work for DHS of course :(

My whining isn't with DHS though...I just feel somewhat miffed because I feel as though I got suckered by Immigroup to pay $250 for something that only costs $50....so keep your money....avoid Immigroup.

May I ask why you (or one) would use a service such as this to apply for Nexus?

Sounds like they are simply making a quick buck (well, lots, actually) for doing everything you can easily do yourself. Sounds like all they are doing is proofreading your application once completed (easily done yourself), submitting it for you (easily done yourself) and setting up an interview if you are conditionally approved (easily done yourself).

It my experience, ORD is the only place that checks for the sticker or even wants to see your passport.

Nowhere else I've entered is it an issue: JFK, IAD, SFO, MIA, LAX, EWR.

Interesting reports. I have used GE at ORD three separate times, and have never been asked for my sticker. I sometimes have the photo page of my passport open, but when I hand over the receipt, I usually get "Welcome Home, Sir!" from the agent at the door. I've got two runs to GRU in June, both terminating in ORD. I'll see what happens when I don't show my passport, and just the receipt..

I picked up my sticker in ORD - sticker was applied on the back, but they actually didn't even mention showing the sticker or having it out or anything when going through the kiosk/procedures demo with them.

Also FYI, no confusion at the ORD office re: Nexus/GE.. Took my passport, bout 5 minutes later agent came out and handed it back to me w/ sticker and then had me come in and do the kiosk walkthrough.

If you have nexus, then you theoretically don't need Global Entry, but if you wanna apply anyway, just log in your GOES account and click on ''enroll in a new program'' and you can enroll in GE from there

Not sure why you would need / want to do this ...

You can't apply because its now included with Nexus, so the GE application bubble will be greyed out.

Check the home page once you log in to your GOES account. You should have a message saying either you need to get your fingerprints done by making an appointment (meaning: just show up) at a Nexus or GE office, or that you can now begin using GE.
