After getting the card about GE enrollment, I wanted to login and set this up online to add to my Nexus profile. However, after having changed the password months ago with GOES, I get the following error:
Your account has been suspended. Please contact GOES Support to request for a password reset. I've e-mailed the listed e-mail ([email protected]) three times and never received a response. 1) Anybody have any other e-mail addresses that have received action? 2) Is two months too short to wait for a password reset? 2) Can enrollment in GE be done at an enrollment centre such as YYZ? (of course without GOES working, not sure how I could get an appointment). Suggestions? GE is automatic, no "enrollment" necessary. The only thing you need to do is make sure that all 10 prints are on file, which the US CBP people need to do. Nexus offices will do that, no appointment necessary. Which, coincidentally, you couldn't even book if you want to even if you could log in to your account - you can only make an appointment if you are due for an interview (new enrollment or renewal). |

I agree with calling the number.

Also about the GE... I thought the "sticker" would look more official. I was surprised it's so tiny lol |
Thanks all! Hadn't noticed the phone number till I went to the link (they only publish the e-mail on the error page). Will give them a call and see if I can sort it out that way, or drop by the enrollment centre at YYZ!

Sorry if this has been asked multiple times, but I searched here and google and couldn't get any sort of clear answer. I applied through GOES today, born in Canada and only lived in Canada so I don't think there's anything complicated in my file. I have a mini-RTW in late June (3 months from now) - is it likely everything will be done by then? I'm in Ottawa so I don't have far to go for the appt. I also should have some flexibility scheduling an appt as long as there are any openings.

someone cancelled their appointment on Wednesday, so I was able to move up mine from June ... yay

Be meticulous in the application details and pick a location with open slots and it can be done in two weeks and a day. |

They approved me in less than two weeks. In Toronto if you want to go to the airport the earliest appointment is June 21st. If you can drive to Fort Erie they can do it at 10 a.m. tomorrow.

If it makes that much difference I'll drive to the 1000 Islands office. I'm hoping this is completely done by mid June since my RTW goes through the US. This process isn't exactly clear. The more I read the more confused I get. Some enrollment centers don't have iris photograph capability yet it is a requirement? I'm not too concerned at this point, I'll go step by step......but so far I'm not too impressed. I also read the last several pages of this thread and I'm not sure what the stickers are - but it seems as if a lot of the border agents aren't sure either. Even on the nexus site the info contradicts itself as to whether or not this is sufficient id for Canada - US crossings. |

The 30/90 day deal is a bit of a misnomer. IF all of the interview slots are taken, Nexus will offer you an interview elsewhere. YUL? YYZ? Take it. Then proceed as above, and you will have the option to select alternative locations when rescheduling! ps I drove today to SYR (enroute to JFK) and used Nexus at the land border crossing on # 81. It was a breeze! Nexus rocks! |

thanks for all the feedback. just wondering, both my CAN/US passports have my first/middle names on them. when i apply on GOES, do i need to put my passport info along with my birth cert. or passport itself is sufficient? thanks.

Check every day and a nice spot will pop for you soon enough. I was able to move up more than 2 months from my first assigned interview slot. Just be ready to grab those earlier slots when they show as they wont last long. |
I anticipate being approved this week for an E-1 visa to the US; I will be at the US Consulate in Toronto. I'm currently an 0-1.
I know I have to get a new I-94 at Pearson and will do so my next travel date. Since my status will have already been approved at the consulate, any thoughts on how long the airport process might take? Also, in terms of Nexus -- do I have to set an appointment to get the US folks details on the new visa, or is this something that can be done online, or with a simple quick unscheduled visit to the office? |
