But in air crossings, as long as you are carrying your own luggage, there shouldn't be a problem with using Nexus if your travel companion(s) has/ve to wait in line, right?

Domestic Screening Fast Lane at YEG to stay
Looks like this is here to stay for NEXUS members and will be expanded across Canada! Woohoo :)

I've been following this thread for a while and have read a bit of it, but am not sure if my question below has been answered yet - I'm sorry if it has.
Can I go for my Nexus interview in the US (such as in Detroit) and then drop by a Nexus office at a Canadian airport to do the Iris scan after that without an appointment? If so, would I have to wait for my card to arrive before getting my iris scan, or could it be done without it but after having the interview at another location? Thanks! |

I'm just wondering, when applying Nexus on GOES and during interview, can we use documents such as birth certificate or naturalization certificate as proof of citizenship since they never expire instead of using passport? What are the pros and cons?

Yes - as long as you're approved, you can get the iris scan done before you receive your card in the mail. I'm not sure about other airports, but at YYZ, you don't need an appointment for the iris scan. I did my interview in Fort Erie and then did the iris scan a few days later at YYZ, then when my card arrived a week or so later, I was ready to start using Nexus immediately.

card activation?
I received my card today and went to GOES account to activate, but can not find an activation button. Is my eyesight this bad or is the site sometimes behind the snailmail?

Fort Erie has the iris scanner now (since at least May 2010, likely longer), for the sake of the thread archive. I did my scan there. I hadn't set foot in an airport NEXUS office until three weeks ago.

Hi. So I've been thinking about getting a Nexus card but I'm still unclear on one thing:
Through several posts and sites with information on the Nexus program, they highlight that it was made to facilitate travel between US-Canada borders. However, once you are cleared by both agencies, you become a "trusted" traveller. My question is, can I use the Nexus card to go through customs quickly when flying in to Canada directly from Europe? or do I have to always travel from the US? |

So the short answer is YES! |
Hey guys.. So I thought I'd join the thread lol.
I applied last Monday, 2/28, and got conditionally approved today. The interview isn't until JUNE!! Man are they busy... I was wondering what your experiences were with the interview, and what to expect. Thanks in advance |
