Two questions about EoA:
1) I am flying into JFK T4, is there a separate EoA lane? Does anybody have experience completing EoA at JFK T4? 2) I already scheduled an interview for Global Entry, before I found out EoA. If I try to cancel the appointment, it will cancel my global entry application. Will there be any issues if I try to complete EoA while I have an appointment scheduled a month later?

JFK T4 Enrollment on Arrival
Has anyone done EOA at JFK T4 recently? I'll be arriving from Dubai on Emirates around 2:30 PM. Do they have a separate EOA line? I don't remember seeing one last year.
I already have GE, but my infant daughter with US passport is conditionally approved and needs EOA. I'm thinking my best bet is to use GE, get my exit slip, and then ask where to do EOA for my infant daughter. Would anyone advise differently? |
Also, can I use MobilePassport and then request EoA once I see the customs agent? Or will I get denied?
|
Apologies if this has already been asked but is there a separate EoA lane at MCO (orlando) I have been approved, or will I have to queue up as normal and ask where the EoA interviews take place. Thanks

Posting incase this is helpful to others:
Conditionally approved for GE about 6 weeks ago. Arrived in to IAD on Sunday 25th June at around 9pm on a BA flight from Heathrow. Queue for standard immigration wasn't too bad (around 20 or so people), so went through the standard immigration route for ESTA holders, and mentioned to the CBP officer I was conditionally approved, and asked whether/where I could do EoA. He directed me to lane 50 (the farthest booth in the immigration hall, next to the GE and crew/diplomats desks). There were 4 people in front of me, and it took 10-15 minutes. Completed enrollment in less than 3 minutes, a few questions asked, and now all approved for GE on my next visit. |

T4 is busy most of the time and you are coming on an A380 - so be prepared to wait. We waited 45 minutes and gave up(on a Tue evening ~9 PM) |
I am flying from MXP-JFK on Emirates A380, but should be out of the plane quickly as I am flying J. Can I use Mobile Passport and then inform the agent that I want to do EoA (hopefully before immigration gets crowded), or can EoA be done only when entering through normal customs line?

I wouldn't advise to take your infant daughter with you through the GE line before her enrollment interview is complete. There was a report of a parent having their Global Entry membership revoked for taking their non-GE enrolled kids with them through the GE line.
My infant son did his EOA "interview" a few months ago, and instead of heading to the kiosks as I used to do, I took him to the interview area and did all the EOA things and went on our merry way. |
RDU observation: After arriving on the London flight and clearing GE I was waiting for my checked bags, and I saw a guy approaching the lone CBP agent at the exit control and asking to be processed for EOA.
He was told to take a seat next to the exit control (they had 4-5 chairs set up) until all international passengers had exited and the CBP agent would have time to perform the interview and process the fingerprints. The Paris flight was scheduled to arrive about 40 minutes after the London flight, so there’s a chance that the guy had to wait until all those passengers had exited as well. |
JFK Terminal 4 EOA experience July 2023

I already have GE, but my infant daughter with US passport is conditionally approved and needs EOA. I'm thinking my best bet is to use GE, get my exit slip, and then ask where to do EOA for my infant daughter. Would anyone advise differently? 1. I arrived at Terminal 4 with my family around 2:30 PM on Sunday in July 2023. Three of us already had GE, and one (infant daughter) was conditionally approved. 2. I asked one of the staff members standing near the GE kiosks what to do with my daughter. He asked us to get in USC line and get her processed, even though me and my wife aren't USC. Within about 10 mins, an officer processed all our passports without any difficulty. I asked him about the EOA, and he directed us to the EOA room. 3. For EOA, they have a room with a dedicated officer (or two). This room was at the right-hand end of the hallway behind the immigration officers' cubicles. This is not the room at the left-hand end of the hall where they sometimes manually help people who get the 'X' slip form a kiosk (and is in front of the immigration officers' cubicles). There are prominent signs for EOA, and it would be hard to miss. 4. The sign-in process was pretty low tech. You write your name and the time of arrival in a sign-in sheet, and they call you in order. 5. There was only one officer doing interviews. It took us an hour and a half of waiting, but the actual 'interview' for the infant took about about 3 mins - what is her PASSID (the GE ID number), asking where we had arrived from, what our current address is, and holding the baby up for a picture. 6. A second officer arrived and set up shop just as we were doing our interview, which likely cut down the waiting time significantly thereafter. 7. At this location, the baggage claim carousels were freely accessible from the EOA waiting area - one could go back and forth to pick up luggage or use bathrooms while waiting. While the long wait after a long flight was annoying, we preferred it to having to come back to JFK for a scheduled interview several months later. |
Global Entry Enrollment on Arrival ATL
I am looking to enroll in Global Entry for the first time and I do not have an interview office near me. I plan to do Enrollment on Arrival on our next international flight. Can anyone update me on hours for Enrollment on Arrival at Atlanta (ATL). Customs & Border Protection site indicates "5:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. and until all slots have been filled. (F Concourse)" My flight currently has an arrival time of 6:53 p.m., so I am doubting that I would make it to the line by 7 p.m. accounting for deplaning. Is it based on being in line before 7 or arrival time?

Recent EoA experience at DFW (should have been LAX, but a BA cancellation changed that).
Wife and both offspring (all UK citizens) needed EoA, first time applicants. Asked the staff managing the (minimal) waiting lines what the process was, and was told any immigration officer except booths 1 and 2 could do it at the same time as immigration. Great. Before starting the immigration process, fortunately asked the CBP officer if he could do EoA, he said no, try another booth. Officer #2 at another booth also said no. Officer #3 just starting shift at yet another booth thankfully said yes. While waiting for him to process regular immigration for the large family in front of us, the line-agent tried to move us as that line was “only for US citizens” (family being processed in front of us were also non-citizens/LPRs). Just gently ignored her as the CBP officer had already agreed to do it. He then did our immigration and processed their EoA, polite and friendly. He said it might take up to 2 weeks for the status to change to approved, but it changed within 48 hours, all now have fully approved GE. Takeaways: 1. Immigration processing and EoA can be done at the same time in DFW, but 2. Best to check with the CBP officer before starting immigration that they are able/willing to do EoA (possible there will be fewer refusals in the US citizen lines, obviously didn’t get to check that). Hope this helps. |
