YVR is also listed as an option for EOA for passengers traveling from YVR to the US. While we won't be departing from YVR for any part of this trip, is anyone aware if the Global Entry Enrollment Centre is before or after security at YVR? The CBP website states EOA is done at US departures. My thinking is if it's before security then my partner and child could potentially complete their GE enrolment interview at YVR if we swing by one day while in Vancouver.

I am assuming "Nexus enrollment on arrival" is pretty similar to GE on arrival. I am planning on doing my 2nd part Nexus interview in YYZ T1 next month before my USA flight (same as GE, no appointment required). Has anyone done the GE process at YYZ? Do I just go up to the CBP officer as I usually do to clear customs before my flight and tell them I want to do the interview or is there a separate line I would need to get into? Was planning on using the MPC app if I have to do the regular process.

JFK Terminal 8
My daughter and I have had our conditional approval through and would like to do EOA on our arrival into JFK with BA next month. I believe that’s terminal 8 now.
We will be travelling with my mother in law who doesn’t have global entry. Is it possible for us to do our interviews at an immigration desk that she can also utilise? Or is there a separate EOA queue? I think I read somewhere about going through immigration as normal and there being an EOA desk after that point but can’t seem to find that info again now. Thanks |

I was at T8 last week and had to update my GE visa. Went through immigration at a desk (I couldn't use GE then), and then told to go on to Booth #1 at customs for GE (after baggage carousel, far right of the hall looking towards the exit). There was one person doing EoA in front of me two took 5-10 minutes. There's a sign indicating EoA priority for crew and people with tight connections.

LAX tonight. Landed and got to immigration and processed thru global entry kiosk by 830pm. Asked how to do enrollment interview. They noted it closes at 9 and sent me to a marked line by baggage 1. Got in line (third)... at 845 agent starts telling us interviews end at 9, we can wait but it may be in vain. 850, she closes the entry point. Tells us again it ends at 9. I wait. Just after 9 I am up. Asked me questions that were kind of the same as the online app. Photo. Prints. Said 24-48 hours for prints to clear. Looked like she actually let all in line get done, but several had left after her warnings. **UPDATE: I had an email within two hours of my interview saying changed status, just checked it this morning and I'm approved for a renewal.
As an aside, I advise to show up with the required info needed... passport, global trusted traveler I'd #, license or other proof of address. The people in front of me didn't have stuff ready and she let them look up online banking and other things to show address which wasted a lot of time. If they are going to force people to use enrollment on arrival they need to recognize when big banks of international flights tend to land at LAX. I was lucky my flight landed an hour early. |

I noticed you said you got processed thru global entry kiosk at LAX before doing your enrollment interview. They let you do that even with just conditional approval?
Conditionally-approved initial GE applicants can’t use the GE kiosks, but sometimes such conditionally-approved applicants are sent down the GE kiosk lines to be processed for enrollment on arrival by CBP employees handling both some/most/all GE kiosk users and conditionally-approved applicants. Not unique to LAX at times. |

Got it, thank you. So a conditionally-approved initial GE applicant who isn't allowed through the GE kiosk line (I'm guessing it has to do with if they're busy or not) can use Mobile Passport instead to skip the regular line and then ask to go for EoA interview after?
When my wife and I had conditional approval pending interview on our initial applications, we were able to go to the CBP GE officer for an interview on arrival at LAX after we had gone thru the long standard customs immigration line. Interview appointments at that time (2018) were many months in the future so we had an opportunity to interview upon arrival when we got back home. Less than 5 minutes being asked about our travel history and we were approved as soon as we left the airport. Now that we have our GE, the renewal has been effortless, except for the $100 charges. Mine was renewed within 72 hours past month. Luckily our credit cards pay for the $100 charges.... |
Finally managed to enrol at Miami. Landed from an international flight with AA at Terminal (Concourse D) and went through immigration there. Asked the officer about enrolment and he said I had to go to Terminal J. I was skeptical as surely that meant going landside (which I didn't think you could do for enrolment on arrival). Went through Terminal D, collected bags and went out to the check-in desk area.
Walked round to Terminal J and asked at the CLEAR security line, they directed me to the TSA enrolment center which, sure enough, is landside at Terminal J (near the end of the Terminal at Door 32ish). Went in, they had a sign-in list where you had to indicate whether you had an appointment or not (we did not). They worked through everyone, I waited maybe 10 minutes before being called and sure enough enrolment was completed. Given the set-up, I would say that you could probably enrol at Miami without either having an appointment or from landing internationally as the center is completely publicly-accessible, being closer to the street than even the check-in desks. They didn't even ask if we had just landed internationally (though I imagine they can see that when they scan our passport). YMMV may vary of course but this worked well. Did this on Friday evening, alas AA's IT did not seem to process our newly-added Known Traveller numbers to put PreCheck on our boarding passes for Monday so had to wait in the 45 minute queue for security on the Monday flight home. |
No one available at JFK T4 last evening to process GE on arrival - immigration hall was full. Was told to collect bags and wait
Waited for 45 minutes and gave up. |
I am conditionally approved for GE and would be arriving at Seattle (SEA) next month, any guidance on the process for EoA at Seattle would help.

I’m a UK citizen, received conditional approval for Global Entry this week. I have a business trip later in June, arriving in to IAD, and plan on completing Enrolment on Arrival there. Can I check the following is true:
I should go to the regular non-US/ESTA line upon arrival in IAD and go through regular immigration, then mention to the CBP Officer that I have GE Conditional Approval and would like to use Enrolment On Arrival, correct? From there, where will I go? The CBP/GE office on the other side of baggage reclaim? To confirm, there is no other paths at IAD? (I understand some US airports have dedicated lanes/booths for this, but not Dulles?) Finally, any ideas of wait times for the GE interview on arrival at IAD? I’ll be arriving on a Sunday evening on the BA293 which lands around 8pm EST. |
