I read that some people are being turned away for EOA because they did not schedule an interview. If I manage to schedule an interview, do I need to leave the country, or can I go to the airport and do the interview there?
EDIT: Ok I found a GE interview location inside the US and it's not an airport, so I assume scheduled appoint for GE interviews does not require one to leave the country? The EoA process is the same for applicants who are not US citizens or Lawful Permanent Residents as it is for US citizens and LPRs. |
I’d be very interested to hear of any recent EOA experiences at DEN. My flight from LHR next week is due to arrive at 5:45pm so I’ll be cutting it fine if I am to meet the 6pm deadline, assuming there is a hard stop. I am quick in my feet though. Any advice on where I should go would be deeply appreciated, if only to shave off any precious minutes.

Has anyone found out about this? I'm hoping to go at ORD on Thanksgiving Day. They won't pick up the phone (of course).

Dominican Republic Citizen, applied on the same day the DR became eligible (2 months ago) and just got conditionally approved. Have an international flight next week into ATL but arrives an hour before closing time. Hopefully I am able to EoA.
|
Update: arrived at Concourse F, Interview on Arrival sign very visible, desk is right before the exit to baggage claim. Agent said it was going to be 1h30-2 hours wait but I had a long connection so didn’t mind. 35 minutes after I got the picture taken and fingerprints, and immediately received the change of status notification via email.

Update: I finally managed to get them on the phone. At ORD they're open 12pm-7pm, 7 days a week, but NOT on federal holidays.

Anyone with recent experience / knowledge of the EoA situation at LAX TBIT for first time applicants, in particular whether people can be processed for immigration at the EoA desk when doing EoA, or whether they have to join the regular immigration line first (expecting the latter, but hoping for the former…)?
Have 3 family members who need to complete enrolment, and would be very helpful if the regular TBIT immigration line could be avoided, especially as we are not US citizens / LPRs. Appreciate any insight.

I’m interested in more info about TBIT at LAX too.
Slightly different situation for us, 2 of the 3 have already done their interviews so just 1 left to complete at LAX. Will the one needing an interview need to queue at immigration and then EOA? What is the setup currently at TBIT? Just past the baggage carousels, near the exit from the customs hall - well after passport controls - there is a prominent sign to the left advising individuals who are conditionally approved that they can have their enrollment interviews conducted there. There is a small seating area, perhaps big enough for a dozen to a dozen people, and what looked like four interview stations. Two of those seemed to be staffed with CBP officers when I passed by and three people were seating in what I assumed to be a waiting area. |

Answering my own question…. We arrived around noon today at EWR…relatively quiet immigration. When I inquired about EOA, we were told to go to a customs agent at the desk and he’d give us instructions on where to go for EOA… once at the desk he directed us over to Lane 31 where we walked over… no one in line… kids had their global entry in about 3 total minutes.
I thought needing to use EOA would allow you to jump the line but guess could be wrong. Thanks |
American or not, the way it normally works is you clear immigration like you don't have GE (which you don't) and they then will direct you to the EOA facility (sometimes it's a booth, sometimes it's an office sowmehere). Newark has EOA in both the B and C customs (though the terminal C has more restricted hours).

Enrollment on arrival and luggage collection
Hi all, flying into Miami on Tues and will do enrollment on arrival. Concerned though that have been advised by the airport that this has to be done before baggage reclaim. If there’s a long wait for the interview I’m concerned about the security of my luggage. Anyone know whether luggage can be got first or have any experience of this? Thanks.

One other quick question.
I am returning from Mexico through PHX on 12/ 15. I have an hour and 40 minutes between flights. Is that enough time to stop in the Enrollment on Arrival office? Has anyone been processed there? Thanks in advance! PS: Thanks Atsak. Good information! |
