We were pleasantly surprised to discover we could do the interview on departure from St. Thomas, US Virgin Islands, despite it not being listed in the locations on the CBP website. Just asked at the immigration controls and they were happy to help.

indeed, my bad. I guess I need to be conditionally approved first and them have the interview. I registered in August23... flying in July24... should I have my hopes high that this status changes prior to fly? Also, anyhow how will the experience be in ATL?

It's hard to tell without having more information. Are you a US citizen? If so, please refer to the "Global Entry - US Citizens & LPRs First Time Applicants' Timelines & Information" thread. If you are a citizen of another country whose passport holders are eligible to apply for Global Entry, we have threads discussing procedures and timelines for those applicants.

I have just had an excellent experience with this whole process. Global Entry sorted and all good to go within 72hrs. My only question is whether I can do my Enrolment on Arrival as I leave the US (I guess the clue is in the title) but I'm not sure. Any tips or experience with this?

Thanks.

No, the enrollment interview takes place at passport controls upon arrival in the US (or at a CBP preclearance location)

Furthermore, unlike most countries, the US doesn't have any immigration/border controls for departing international flights. So there's no infrastructure to support that method even if they wanted.

YVR data point. Asked for EOA on a Sunday evening. One person doing an interview when we got in line, then waited a bit, then got the interview. Maybe took 25 minutes in the end. We ended up delayed so we went through CBP the following Monday morning and the EOA area had maybe 15 people waiting.

You can now enroll on departure at IAD. Hopefully, we see this in more airports soon.

NEW: Are you a conditionally approved Global Entry applicant? Dulles is the FIRST AIRPORT to offer Global Entry enrollment on departure. Interview at Gate B41 from 12-8 p.m. before leaving the U.S.

I am considering scheduling an arrival interview for GE. I am arriving into JFK on a BA flight at 12.30pm, connecting to an AA LAX flight at 4.30pm.

As I dont arrive in LAX till almost midnight, would scheduling in JFK make sense, and do I have enough time?
Thanks

Enrollment on Arrival can't be scheduled. The interview is conducted during the admission process upon arrival in the United States or at CBP Preclearance facilities. With four hours between flights, you should have plenty of time to complete your enrollment interview.

Please refer to the wikipost. Also, there are recent datapoints in this thread of renent EoA interviews which were conducted upon arrival at JFK.

Apologies if this has been covered already. I have Global Entry pre-approved and wanted to try the Entry on Arrival. When I flew into JFK T8 last year I asked where it was and was pointed vaguely to a booth. So I went through immigration and couldn't find it. I've been told since it's a specific booth at immigration. Booth 1?

Is this correct? So when you land, you queue as normal, but can only go through booth 1 if you want to do Global Entry on Arrival?

We did ours there last summer, went through immigration as usual and there’s a desk just past the baggage carousels on the right. There was no queue when we got through but we waited for luggage first, by then a queue had built up and we waited about 45 minutes. We should have done the interview first then got luggage.

Ah, got it, so the TSA guy pointing in that direction was pointing to another desk after all. Yep, I might go before luggage as last time I waited about 45 minutes just for the luggage!

Anyone have an experience with doing enrollment on arrival at DFW? Our kids are both conditionally approved. Would love to get them both actually enrolled on our way back from CUN tomorrow. We tried doing EoA at MIA a few years ago and it was a total cluster, and the agents were total jerks on top of it. Is it more pleasant at DFW? Didn't see any recent data points in the last few pages of this thread.
