The Global Entry online renewal form asks if we're traveling internationally in the next 6 months. If yes, it suggests EoA. But we can do EoA (or an interview) any time within 12 months after CA, right?

Two years from the original expiration date.

Any recent DPs for BOS?

Has anyone (especially U.S. citizens) EoAed recently landing in Boston and able to share what the process was like, whether there was signage/a dedicated place to go or just “go through normally and ask them”, etc.?

sxpsxpsxp Did you end up doing it last year?

I wonder if saying you have an upcoming trip makes it less likely to get renewed without interview? There was one report of a couple a couple pages back, one who had said they had no upcoming travel and got renewed without any interview, and the other who said they had a trip and that renewal required an interview. My recent renewal I said no upcoming travel (which was true) and was renewed with no interview. I'm sure there are a lot of other factors for interview/no, but it makes me wonder.

I can't think of a benefit to "admitting" to upcoming travel -- it doesn't seem to expedite anything, and you can still use GE for 2 years after expiration if you submit the renewal before expiration so it's not like trying to fit a passport renewal in between trips. As far as I know that question wasn't a "penalty of perjury" thing, so if you say no but end up traveling after conditional approval requiring interview you can still use EOA.

This might be referring to me. I did my wife's renewal and we had no travel planned, poof, super quick online renewal notice came through. Decided to do mine and by then we had planned a trip so I answered yes to international travel (assuming/hoping that meant I might get expedited!), instead I got on arrival. So, I'm betting they, for whatever reason, are testing or pushing people to do live for some reason. Same countries in passports, same travel, no diff at all between us other than I said upcoming trip. As I said upthread, I would not lie on the form and don't recommend you do -- in my case I knew we were going to take a trip even though I hadn't bought the tickets yet, so I said yes. I just am advising friends to renew early and before they make any plans.

Anybods have recent EoA experience at DUB? Got CA in April, though not travelling until February, but curious if they have enough staff here. I’ve never cleared Customs outside CONUS before.

Hey,

just got Conditionally Approved, how easy is it to do Enrollment on Arrival at JFK as I am due to fly there Monday from the UK.

Very straightforward. If you speak to the CBP officer at Immigration and advise that you have been conditionally approved and would like to do an EoA, they will try and flag someone down who may be available to do it or to wait. I had to wait about 30-45 mins for someone to be available but I was waiting for luggage at the time so it wasn't a big deal. This was my experience at T7. However, relatives had similar experiences at T8. Good luck!

I wanted to share my experience at IAH today. My 12-year-old kid had CA, and we just came back from an overseas trip. We were connecting at IAH. I used mobile passport. There was a very short line for mobile passport. But it was just a way to cut the line (similar to US version of the APEC card experience) - they never scanned the QR code. After processing, I asked the officer that we wanted to do GE interview. We were directed to booth #1. There was no wait. The officer took a picture of my kid and her fingerprints. It took 5 minutes. I got an email notification about the application status change a few minutes after the interview. Very smooth experience today.

Just did first-time EoA, non-US citizen at ORD.

Information online about 'you must go to booth 58' seems to no longer be relevant, I was sent to the non-US lines (1-18) despite explaining that the CBP website was directing me to 58.

CBP officer at one of the non-US lines said they're no longer allowed do the interviews at booths, but to go to CBP landside office. Once there, was asked to show passport and international arriving BP (preclearance locations ineligible). Small waiting area available, ~35 minute wait to be seen at peak early afternoon time. Quick interview, all very pleasant and professional. Approval email came later that evening.

Anyone know if Enrollment on Arrival can also be Enrollment on Departure?

I renewed my GE (after 5 years of it being inactive) while staying at my Mother in Law in the midwest, got conditional approval within 48 hours. I'm leaving back to Europe at the end of August but there are no open appointments in a 300 mile radius from Milwaukee.

Anyone know if visiting the landside CBP office at O'hare on my way out might get me an unexpected interview?

No, Enrollment on Arrival can only be conducted while going through passport controls while entering the United States. The only exception is while departing to the US from a pre-clearance facility.

Regarding visiting a landside CBP office, please refer to the following thread:

I did EoA coming into DFW a while ago, interview was at one of the counters at the edge of the arrivals hall. Took all of five minutes, but then I never got the approval to clear. Went through LAX a month later, and was sent to a station by the baggage claim. Was the first to arrive, and agent said that somehow the original agent had processed things wrong. He asked lots of questions about my job, my travel patterns, etc, first for the GE and then for the APEC card approval. Took a good 30 minutes of questions from him, and a long line formed behind. He eventually approved things and got the website to update a few hours later. Got the cards a few days after that.

If the TTP website still shows the application status as "conditionally approved" several days after the enrollment interview, chances are that the interviewing CBP officer neglected to follow up on any background check, such as fingerprints verification, or click on the "approved" button.

Has anybody any recent experience for GE EoA at JFK T1? As I will be travelling with my wife and my child and all of us would like to do EoA, I hope that there is no massive additional waiting time in addition to the normal waiting times for immigration.
