So I went to LAX this week, arriving on the international terminal. As stated above, you first go through the regular immigration line. I asked the officer at the immigration booth about the EoA interview. He was very friendly and told me it was past the baggage pickup point. They were indeed there, and the signs pointing to it are quite big ;) Although the interview might not take long, waiting in line might easily take another hour.

Apologies I haven't been able to find the answer to this in my search:
For proof of residency, does it matter how old the document is? The latest email from CBP states: " In addition to your entry document (e.g., your passport), you will need documents providing evidence of residency. Examples are driver's license (if the address is current), mortgage statement, rental payment statement, utility bill, etc |

Enrollment-on-Arrival at Dulles Airport (IAD) is suspended, possibly until at least October 1, 2022.

So, did Enrolment on Arrival at LAX on the 25th August. If you're arriving at Tom Bradley, you would clear the normal immigration queue first. This took about two hours (a good reminder about why I paid the $100 for GE), before searching for my suitcase in the baggage reclaim area for another half hour.
The EoA desks are on the left-hand side as you exit the baggage reclaim hall. I waited about half an hour for my interview. The CBP Officer took my photograph and fingerprints, and the interview was mainly just confirming the information on the original application was correct and he asked a couple of questions about my work. I think he was a little puzzled about why I wanted GE since I'd only been to the US once before, but I emphasised this was in anticipation of me travelling more in the next few years (including a TP run for my BA Gold). Was told I'd hear back the outcome in a day or two. 28th Aug - Status change email and application approved. I used TSA PreCheck on my return flight to the UK from SEA on the 30th August. Tip (Make sure you include your middle name in your API data, that made the difference as to whether PreCheck appeared on my boarding pass) |
We still have a few months before our next international trip but curious if anyone know if enrollment on arrival is typically available on holidays? We will be returning from Europe on January 1, 2023 (arriving in Chicago) and thinking worst case we take care of it then.

Just wanted to share my issue so maybe I help someone else. I just got back from Ireland (dublin) to JFK. Was planning on doing Approval on arrival. But Dublin has U.S customs done in Dublin.... so when you land you do not go to the US customs.
I tried going to the arrival area and ask if it can be done and was told I was supposed to do it in Ireland since that is where I cleared customs. I was told this by the TSA guy who was at the door for the global entry room at arrival hall terminal 4. Very annoying. I was able to set an appointment for November but this was frustrating so I hope this info helps someone else. |

Despite being interviewed by the same officer directly after my wife's interview, my GE renewal application (UK passport) is still stuck at Conditionally Approved, so 16 days after the interview and counting |

As an update to an earlier post, after managing an interview on arrival at JFK T7 on 19 August, it took a further 12 days for Mrs Ned to have her GE application status changed from Conditional to Full approval (US passport)

Hey all! Thought I would add my experiences to the knowledge here:
Interview on arrival at O'Hare ~Noon on a sunday. Asked at immigration (sent there, regular US passport) was directed to an are to the far left (as looking "across the border"). There was some signage and ~10 people ahead of me in line. For most of the time there was one agent processing, towards the end a second logged on and started working. It took ~1hr of that ~5 mins was the actual interview. So many stressed folks in line trying to fit it in with a tight connection. When I left line was double in length.. Take away: If you plan to enroll on entry there is a chance it could take an hour at O'Hare.. plan your flights accordingly Got the approved email ~3 hours later Oh an addendum: You will need your PASSID. |
Miami experience
Just to share my experience at MIA. Arrived with BA and took the train to the immigration at Concourse D. After visiting the officer at the booth I informed him that I wanted to complete my GE.
I was given an orange paper (normally this is for those with food items or above personal allowance for entry) and directed to a special lane (for these additional check). At the bottom of this was another officer who will check the reason you are in this special area - it is behind the baggage belt (as you can see the usual folks on the other side waiting for their bag). After collecting your check in luggage, following the path, will bring you to the additional check/security area - you will be called and wait. There did not seem to be any priority or separate desk for GE applicants. Seems like you will be processed as they determine. In my case, there was another pax on my flight who did not seem to have check-in luggage and had the same situation. After 5 mins of arriving into the office, she seemed to have completed her interview about 5 mins after that and came out from some "interview" rooms. After her, I waited for maybe another 20 mins before I was called by the same officer who conducted the interview with her. I was brought into the same interview area and the officer processing my case was actually surprised as this was his first time getting applicants from the Netherlands and did not even know that it was part of the program. Anyways, after some rudimentary questions, I was out within 10 mins. I tried to apply it to my connecting flight, but sadly the system did seem to have been updated. I received the confirmation email about 3 hours later. From than on adding the KID into all my upcoming reservations had no problem getting me PreTSA. All in all a good experience. Hope this will be useful info for those travelling via MIA. Cheers! |
Well, I had a failed attempt at IAD on Sunday largely due to the fact that there is no information on either the CPB site or IAD site that interviews can only be done at the main terminal and not midfield. I knew I should have had my bags short checked and just exited but I decided to chance it. The agent I spoke to at midfield said that they’ve told management that they need the ability at the midfield terminal.
Good thing i still have an EWR appointment for October 2. |

SEA enrollment on arrival
Does anyone know if Enrollment on Arrival for Global Entry is currently available at SEA? It is my understanding that all international arrivals are now being processed at the new facility in Concourse A and the old South Satellite facility is no longer in use. Is this correct or is some processing still being done at the old facility? The CBP website (https://www.cbp.gov/travel/trusted-t...llment-arrival) still currently lists "South Satellite Federal Inspection Area" as the Enrollment on Arrival location with hours "6:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m".
