Just looked back to August, and don’t see this asked. It’s been a while since coming back international. You go through immigration, then customs, right? Remind me again.
So when landing at JFK, for EOA, we’d get off the plane and head straight for EOA as opposed to lining up at Customs? I’m goin go put a call into a CBP friend and report back. |

Do all airports have a designated line? When I was last at BOS I didn’t see one. The airport was almost empty and the agent said he didn’t have time to do it (I have conditional approval)… and it was 3pm….

Arrived at SFO at 19:00. The enrollment lane was servicing about 20 wheel chair users. The agent was very firm in his "I'm too busy tonight " and sent me on my way. Luckily I've access from the membership period so I'll need to try it next time.

No signs at ORD, so I asked the agent guarding the exit from the baggage area about it, and he said they should have handled it when I entered. I simply said I had forgotten, and he was nice enough to escort me to where there were 2-3 agents sitting in a quiet part of the entry hall and he found one that was ready to interview me .
Which was really no interview at all, just a description of what benefits the program brings, don't screw it up or the fines double/triple and all that. Really just a nice conversation while he did his thing on his terminal, then we did the the photo and fingerprints and he said I would be active as of that night, everything was in order. Great, except for I have no confirming email. I'll wait for a bit for it to arrive, I suppose. To sum up, at ORD, mention you want the on-arrival GE interview when you are being checked in and they'll tell you where to go. Also as a datapoint, the arrival hall was jam-packed so GE will indeed be worth the effort. |

Take a look at this thread:
What started as a fairly quick task turned into a multi-year path - but it's done now. |
Landed into JFK T7 last night and asked the CBP officer whether I could do EoA. He said he wasn’t able to accommodate at the time but there would be other officers who could do it. Spoke to an officer at Customs and he took me into a booth and asked another officer to do my interview and it was sorted in 10 minutes. Got my email confirming that I was approved whilst waiting for the subway. Happy days!

Thanks for reporting. It sounds like you arrived from and international flight so this was a true EoA versus a walk in interview, correct? You info might be better posted there. I appreciate you reporting back as we will be arriving in JFK in one week and looking to do the same.

Thanks for noticing that Sifu's report was posted in the wrong thread. I moved that post and your response to the relevant thread.
