Thank you - so it looks like we'd still need to queue for normal immigration (pot luck on how good/bad that would be) and then do EoA, and we'd be all set for any future visits. Hmm!!

Use the MPC app, then you can pass immigration a bit faster.

I am arriving from abroad, and want to do my EOA interview.
When I reach the passport control, should I go to the normal line first, and then after be admitted look for the EOA counter there, or, should I go to Global Entry line and ask for the EOA? (I will be with my minor/daughter who already is a Global Entry user)
Thanks for your pointers...

Just to update others, answering my own experience: flew in on 12/24 and waited normal processing. after that walked towards the EOA desk and officer was helping already someone. Had a seat, waited for 5-10 min and then was my turn. 2 other people came after me. Quick and efficient, email received 5-10 min afterwards. happy to have this for future trips and loved using TSA PRE on my way back...

I have just applied for Global Entry and have my interview booked at LAX this coming Thursday. I am assuming that the interview will take place on arrival and not at the office site address that appears on the TSA app.
Any experiences, hints etc gratefully received. Thanks

Interviews for GE Enrollment on Arrival cannot be scheduled in advance. They are conducted on a first come first served basis during the admission process when arriving at the United States from abroad.

At LAX, interviews on arrival take place near the exit from the customs hall past the luggage carousels. There are several desks/kiosks that are clearly marked.

I highly doubt that, due to the DHS shutdown, interviews on arrival are currently being conducted.

If you have an appointment, it is scheduled to take place at the office location that is listed in your appointment confirmation. It is located at 11099 S. La Cienega Blvd., #155, Los Angeles, California 90045, near the LAX Budget Parking facility.

If I were in your situation, I'd first call before going there to confirm that they are open, (310) 642-1425.

Thanks for that. I’ll call the centre on Monday.
Ever optimistic.
If GE is operating for EOA, am I right to assume that I will still have to go through the normal queuing before I can talk with GE?

That's correct, at least at LAX, as the GE enrollment on arrival interview location is way past passport ocntrols.

I think that varies by airport (or at least did). When I did EOA at SFO several years ago, it was at the main GE lines. Of course, they had us wait in a separate line there until the stream of GE people had gone through, so it was 15 minutes or so before they started working on the EOAs, and processed our entries at that point.
