So, our child was conditionally approved this week as a first time applicant.. we're leaving on a trip to Asia in 4 days, returning 10 days later into ORD nonstop. Except the flight is scheduled to land at 9:30am.. well before the stated hours of EoA.
I'm afraid we'll be denied but will post back here with experience later. I am hoping to do EOA for my three children in March at ORD. Did you end up being able to do this on your trip and if so any comments / tips on the experience? Thanks! |

Hi Izzik-

Before you get to immigration, follow the global entry line until you get close to the GE kiosks where there is another line marked "interview on arrival". This takes you to booths 51-54 where you clear immigration and do the interview at the same time. I was there early evening, there were roughly 10 people ahead of me and it took about 1 hour. Email confirmation received that evening. |
Enrollment on Arrival webpage appears removed, any insights if just a web screw-up or if the actual service is suspended?

Global Entry enrollment on arrival at NAS
I have two minor children age 6 and 10 who am looking to get Global Entry for. Mrs. Rossodio and myself already have Global Entry. Flying to Nassau next week from the US and fly back late in the week on a weekday. This is during the height of Spring Break. Any thoughts on a reasonable amount of time prior to our flight that we should arrive to NAS to have time to get the interview done and get out in time?

Waited at YUL for at least 20 mins with no one in line other than us to get interviews for my kids before giving up and moving on. Not an officer in sight to do them. At least they had some toys and books to keep the kids occupied for a little bit.

question, finally have become conditionally approved... and will travel to ATL in December. Do I need to clear customs first, and then go to the EOA area, or, can I go directly and say I wanna do EOA? thank you.

Arrived in IAD late on Saturday (7.45pm) and used the MPC lane with the family. I knew of EoA at IAD but didn't dare to ask for it as the website mentioned EoA interviews were available only 9am-4pm. The officer doing the MPC screening noted that the boys had their GE interview scheduled and asked dif we want to do EOA on the spot. So we waited a bit for the officer the farthest lane to be free and completed the EOA within a few minutes.

Renewal on arrival appointments... may I ask, how long do these typically take?
When family member and myself applied for GE many years ago the scheduled appointments were short, actually... maybe 10 or 15 minutes, tops? But I can't remember with total clarity. We had to go to an office, not at the airport. I assume the flow is, grab your bags and go to the appointment? I am already GE but another family member is applying. Trying to schedule a pickup with a car service and wondering if an extra hour after arrival is sufficient. |

They just do a quick scroll thru your file, stopping at the passport details and cross checking those and the DL (if any). Then they go thru the countries visited and look for suspicious ones. Also the section with any possible criminal record is looked at quickly. Then your fingerprints are taken. Max 3-5 min for the entire process. Waiting takes longer ;)

I am arriving from abroad, and want to do my EOA interview. When I reach the passport control, should I go to the normal line first, and then after be admitted look for the EOA counter there, or, should I go to Global Entry line and ask for the EOA? (I will be with my minor/daughter who already is a Global Entry user) Thanks for your pointers... |
Good morning.
I am a UK citizen with Global Entry - I travel to the US 2-4 times a year with work. This October I'll be bringing the family - wife plus 2 kids - to the US for a holiday, we'll be flying into JFK on BA so landing Terminal 8. What is the likely entry procedure here for Enrolment on Arrival? The main benefit of GE is to avoid the sometimes 2 hour queue at JFK, would I be able to take my wife/kids to the GE area and ask to EoA there, or would we need to queue as normal for immigration and then do the interview so they would be good to go for 'next time' which might be a year or two out? Trying to work out whether its worth getting my wife (£42 + $120) and kids (£42 + £42) enrolled to make our entry easier. We will come back within the 5 years, perhaps 2-3 times I'm guessing. |

My partner did EoA at JFK T8 at 9.40pm on Wednesday night, one ahead. It's still at booth #1 after immigration and baggage claim although the signage is somewhat lacking. You need to walk towards the exit and as you pass the first metal barriers it's an immediate right (with a hand made Global Entry enrolment on arrival sign). Approval came through before we were off the AirTrain on the way to Jamaica.
