Not multiple appointments. I was doing an enrollment on arrival interview which requires no scheduling.

Just got interviewed this morning at JFK and approved for GE. I was conditionally approved as of 08/30 and took advantage of a work trip to Brazil this week to do Enrollment on Arrival. I arrived at T4. After getting admitted, I just had to walk to a room on the right side, before getting to the checked bags carrousels. There are a lot of signs directing you to the room. I was the only person in there and the whole process took less than 5 minutes. The officer gave me a piece of paper with my Known Traveler number and said I would receive the card in 2 weeks.

I have heard from two different sources this week that interview on arrival is suspended nationwide citing similar reasons.

Someone I know was trying to get it done at PHL but was told it wasn’t available for budgetary reasons.

I saw on Twitter someone was trying to get it done at IAD and told more specifically it was “closed for the rest of the fiscal year until Congress approves a budget”.

Wow, if this is true that’s a great loss! I guess we have to wait to hear specifically from the governmental agency to be sure

Just came here to share my PHL experience as I flew in today.
Got there and was told....it's suspended :|. The CBP employee didn't indicate if it was nationwide though, just said that the website hadn't been updated for PHL

Sometimes you have to go to the source to find out exact information. Below is the link for the CBP site. It was updated five days ago. When you look at the link for Pennsylvania it clearly states that PHL is suspended with an approximate start up date of October 1, 2022. You could look at other states I looked at Texas as I have a trip coming through IAH that I plan to do EOA in a few months if everything goes well with my renewal application, that seems to still be valid location

I tried to do the enrollment on arrival at SFO but due to staff shortage, they cannot do the interview. I have to wait till next time flying internationally.

When was this? And what terminal and time?

gotta hold my hands up and say I did not check the TTP website in the 4 days before travel (I was so naive). Just reporting what he said. Either way, don't think I'll fly into the US again anytime soon, but I have plenty of time to try and finish enrollment

Only aware of this EOA halt impacting those airports placed under the Baltimore Field (Operation) Office classification -- which IIRC covers airports in Virginia, Pennsylvania, and Maryland when it comes to EOA.

When I book my ticket in May, it was available at my time, but they change it after I book my ticket. My flight was SQ34 landing 7pm at Terminal G on Sunday.

In July, we also try to do the interview at Toronto Pearson Terminal 1 pre-clearance. We arrive 3 hours before flight but there were so many people need to do the interview that we need to wait 4 hours.

A little bizarre. CBP (and all other agencies) are funded through 9/30, though the FY2023 budgets still haven't been passed (inevitably Congress will pass a series of continuing resolutions, likely extending to early next year when anew Congress is in place).

But CBP has funding now . . . so they must have been spending their money too fast this year, so have to cut back end-of-year spending somehow. I guess they consider EoA something of an expendable program so instead of paying overtime to ensure enough agents to staff it they're just having them work regular hours or something. I can't see otherwise how EoA somehow would incur more spending otherwise - it's just assigning agents to a different station in an airport.
