Just got mine done while returning from Asia at LAX.
7pm at LAX I asked the CBP officer and they said 2 officers are available.
Nice friendly, courteous service by the CBP agent and asked me some questions to validate past travel activity.
Took about 5 minutes, received KTN and email same day, letter of acceptance on their web service, and now waiting for GE card in the mail.

Wonder why Global Entry on arrival hasn't been extended to preclearance locations like Dublin and Abu Dhabi. Perfect locations and opportunities for eligible foreign citizens to complete their procedures. It is there at the locations in Canada at least. I find it bizarre that Qatar has an interview location in some off terminal location, but no preclearance, while Abu Dhabi has preclearance but no global entry interview location.

Finally getting a chance to do the interview on arrival today... and the wait at SFO is 90 minutes. Unreal.

Unfortunately didn't realize you could do a walk up entering at SFO CBP upon entering the US until today. I was also in a > than one hour line last week and could have easily jumped it and got interviewed. They had ONE CBP agent at passport control for over 200 pax!!! I complained (as well as others) and the agent was actually sympathetic and told me to file a complaint on line but security then showed up and told me to basically to move on. People were literally yelling at the agents from the line to get more staffing. Pathetic! I have interview scheduled for July and not sure if I will again be flying internationally by then but if so I will definitely go for a walk up interview.

I was just conditionally approved and am traveling to Shanghai in 3 weeks, so Enrollment on Arrival at SFO on Thursday morning seems like the way to go. Quick question though: I am currently a NEXUS member in good standing. Does anyone know if you can use GE on arrival, then see the CBP agent, or is there just the single agent processing entry and GE enrollment?

If you already have NEXUS, why would/did you apply for GE? You get GE benefits with NEXUS for half the price.

And, applying for GE invalidates your Nexus membership!

As CKDGM and mnbp indicated, NEXUS includes Global Entry privilege. Your final Global Entry approval will invalidate your NEXUS membership.

Do you intend to renew your NEXUS? If affirmative, then it does not makes sense to continue your Global Entry application process.

If you do not intend to renew your NEXUS, since you already have Global Entry conditional approval, I would delay your Global Entry interview appointment one day after your next birthday. You Global Entry will have a 364 bonus validity days.

Folks,

Please let's keep this thread on topic.

While it is important to advise mkasperzak that their NEXUS membership will be deactivated upon final approval of their Global Entry application, that discussion belongs in the NEXUS Card Gets Deactivated upon Final Approval of Global Entry Application thread.

For indexing and future search purposes, future posts on this issue will be moved to the linked thread or deleted.

Would STILL like to hear any experiences at SFO regarding this situation, since GE won't be finalized until the interview, Nexus should still work. (BTW, my Nexus is expiring and I don't travel to Canada, (or Seattle for the interview) and AMEX pays for GE)

Quick question - if I have an ESTA, do I clear immigration through the automated kiosks, then look for a GE line to do my interview? Or should I look for the GE line BEFORE immigration? I will be at LAX, if that helps.

Did the enrollment on arrival in May. Morning flight so a lot of people in the regular lanes but only 3 people waiting (myself included) for the enrollment. The waiting itself took about 40 minutes as there were two people ahead of me, but the actual interview was around 5 minutes.

GE card came a week later....

Is Enrollment on Arrival available for citizens of UK or just USA?

Everyone to my understanding, but you would have to fly into the US. Preclearance is not yet available in the UK, and I don't think Enrollment on Arrival is available at DUB or SNN Preclearance.

Enrollment on Arrival - Global entry

To participate in Enrollment on Arrival for Global Entry after being conditionally approved already. Does it require landing on an international flight in an international terminal or can you arrive on a domestic flight landing at an international terminal (MCO) and still be able to complete enrollment on arrival and bypass the need to schedule an appointment? Thanks!

mods please move if incorrectly posted sorry!
