List of Global Entry Enrollment Centers

Post your walk-in experiences in the Wiki. If you cannot update the Wiki, then please post in the thread, and someone will paste your data point. Please format it as such under the enrollment center where you attempted to walk-in:

Yes/No [If Yes, put how long you waited in brackets] (Date and time attempted)

If someone in your family had an appointment at that time, please note that, too.

Examples:
Yes [45m] (4/2/2016 10am w/ a family member who had an appointment)
Yes [2h] (4/18/2016 3pm)
No (5/2/2016 12pm w/ a family member who had an appointment)
Yes [25m] (5/10/2016 9am)

That must be the case. 6 am may be is a good time attempting for a walk in interview at SFO. I wonder if it makes any difference someone has no scheduled appointment vs a scheduled appointment for a future date.

I think it probably is a good time. There were only three other people waiting outside when I arrived. No idea if there's any difference between scheduled appointment vs a scheduled future appointment; from what I could tell his sheet did go forward a few days but as soon as I said 'walk in' he didn't bother checking or asking.

I also saw several people seeming to be waiting, so left. ($2 parking fee). Decided I would come back later in evening. Got there at 2255, no on sitting in chair, 1 person was just going in, waited a few mins CBP officer came out ask if had appointment. Said I did not, but hoping for walk in. Said they already did their 6, but there would be SHIFT CHANGE at 0001 (i.e. midnight) and may be able to get in then. Later another officer said the same. Several other folks showed up and got it during or before their appointment. At 2340 first officer came out again looking for scheduled appointments. When there was none he said, come on in! 10 mins or so later was done.

At the time there was 3 on shift. And just as I left one just came in (starting his shift I guess) There was 1 person that got there about 15 mins after I did and was waiting for the new shift.

So they CAN do more than 6 (I saw the clip board that shows the names) and it actually had something like 8 entries on it, which I assume was what they did that shift already, not including me. I guess just have to be nice and hope they are having a good day and might get in even if they have done 6 that shift. Also I think its helpful to be there just BEFORE the new shift comes in (at least seems to be on this weekend crew)

Good luck to all

Submitted Form on Web: 13
Conditional Approval: 6 Jul (earliest schedule available on that day was 29 Dec)
Approved in person: Saturday, 9 Jul

PS also guess I was really lucky cuz I didn't bring the Conditional Approval Notification letter. Just the schedule letter, but lucky was able to find me with my Passport. But they really need that 9 digit number in the letter.

MOD (or anyone that can edit Wiki):
Please update above Wiki with "BWI - Yes [30m] (7/10/2016, 1pm) "

BWI Airport: We drove from DC to Baltimore to have our two kids interviewed. One had an appointment and the other's appointment was for another location a month later. Very congenial CBP officers allowed later scheduled kid to tag-along and process at same time as currently scheduled kid.

More importantly, both very friendly and cordial CBP officers advised that they had just finished the non-stop processing of two dozen walk-ins who were there when the doors opened. The sign posted on the door lists hours and indicates "walk-ins as available." The CBP officers - - again praise for how professional, polite and pleasant they were - - indicated that as long as there are empty seats in the waiting room, they did not want to turn anyone away and try their best to process walk-ins. There are at least 20 seats in the waiting room.

My husband had his appointment scheduled for July 8th at 1:45, mine wasn't till September 3rd at JFK. We got there at 12:52, we both signed in. There was no one to ask about a walk, and didn't see any signs.
The agent came into the waiting area and said taking people by appointment time not when they arrived.
At about 1:30, DH got called. We both walked to the agent and asked about if they could take me as well. He said probably not, but could sit and wait. Dh asked the agent interviewing him. First she said no. They he asked again said my appointment was for after we have a trip planned. She would up saying yes.
We both got approved on the spot.

Originially scheduled all 4 for 8/11/16 (I rescheduled 7/22/16, Wife rescheduled 7/9/16 got lucky)

All 4 went to interview 7/9/16 ORD

I asked front desk if kids can at least go in with Mom for interview and that I had my interview on 7/22/16 and can return that date; guy said when you go in, ask the interviewing officer.
I asked him if he can take the kids too; he asked, "you have their passports with you?" (of course we did).
After interviewing the 3, he turns to me, "do you have your passport?"; OF COURSE with big smile!!!

Interview was fairly quick (where do you live, did you go to Canada/Mexico in the las5 years, what do you do, etc. for kids: when is your bday, what grade are you in, where did you go on vacations) but the fingerprinting took the longest for our 5 y/o b/c the small fingers were not reading well but after 6th attempt...success.

Thank the friendly officer for taking all 4 as we left; got email of final approval almost instantly and other appointments canceled by system. Cancun, here we come!

Thank you Flyertalk!!!

PDX - No (7/11/2016 11:30am)

My wife even had an appointment and she was done before her official appointment time and he still wouldn't do it.

Adding on to what DCA-IAD FF said above, I did a walk-in today for my 1 year old without anyone else in the family having an appointment at BWI. We arrived at 1:30 (It should also be noted that the center now doesn't open until 1:15, where its still listed as 1:00 on the website). We waited until anyone with an appointment was taken and the room was empty except us. Then they were willing to take her for her interview at about 1:55. I didn't see the "walk-ins available" sign that DCA-IAD FF said they saw this weekend, but the sign did say that walk-ins are taken on a case by case basis. So all in all, my experience was: "BWI - Yes [25m] (7/12/2016, 1:30pm)"

Went to MCO on 7/14/16 around 1:00 PM. They have signs that say "No walk-in's", thought I would wait to see an agent anyway just in case and he confirmed there are no walk ins available at MCO, and I could tell, it was pretty busy with back to back appointments.

I was also at MCO on 07/14/16 for my 12:15pm appointment. It was busy, appointments seemed back to back and they were running behind schedule.

Very agreeable agent was personable, efficient and informative. Reminded me that I needed to update info in GOES when I renewed passport and driver's license in 2017 and 2019.

I accompanied DH to MCO for his 07/03/16 appointment and it was not busy. No one waiting, no other names on sign in sheet. Agent (a different one) would not process me even though I had documentation of 07/14 appointment, passport and driver's license. Guess it just depends on the agent's mood and scheduled workload but this reduced efficiency meant a waste of resources and time for me and my family as we had to make 2 trips to MCO. All available back to back appointments were after our scheduled travel dates.

There is a sign at MCO indicating "no walk ins" and based on my observations they must enforce that policy. As I was leaving a party of 3 asked about walk ins and they were turned away.

Yep, saw them get turned away and I got turned away shortly thereafter. The agent was nice in saying so, but I honestly think MCO is very understaffed and they schedule too many appointments in. Based on my time there I saw many, many people who had scheduled interviews including airline employees and there is literally no availability for the next month or so, so I am happy I scheduled mine for when I fly out to DFW next month.

Airplanegod....Sorry you were turned away at MCO but as I reflect on my experience getting turned away when DH had his interview even though I was scheduled in the same location during the upcoming weeks, I think perhaps the "no walk in" policy could be considered a security measure in response to the recent tragic events in Orlando. I agree with your assessment that the MCO GE interview office is severely understaffed and I also saw the large numbers of airline/airport employees. During my efforts to reschedule interviews for DH and me, I found that SFB, which is relatively close by, was showing few available dates during the upcoming months, and that TIA was not showing availability until mid-to-late November...a full 4 months from now. Looks as though MCO is the only viable option for those in central FL who are traveling soon. Good luck at DFW next month. Looking forward to your report on the experience. Meanwhile, those who schedule at MCO might do well to be reminded to bring a cushion to sit on while waiting on one of those 4 hard benches.
