List of Global Entry Enrollment Centers

Post your walk-in experiences in the Wiki. If you cannot update the Wiki, then please post in the thread, and someone will paste your data point. Please format it as such under the enrollment center where you attempted to walk-in:

Yes/No [If Yes, put how long you waited in brackets] (Date and time attempted)

If someone in your family had an appointment at that time, please note that, too.

Examples:
Yes [45m] (4/2/2016 10am w/ a family member who had an appointment)
Yes [2h] (4/18/2016 3pm)
No (5/2/2016 12pm w/ a family member who had an appointment)
Yes [25m] (5/10/2016 9am)

Disclaimer: These are only data points. There is no guarantee you will be successful as a walk-in.

Hey mdosu, there is a thread on this very topic you can check out here: <link deleted>

Although, no one has commented on this specific scenario just yet. Recently, they had a sign up that stated they only take 6 walk-ins per day and you must arrive by 8:00am.

If you have time and are close by, I'd say it's worth a shot though.

The online scheduling tool has opened up a bunch of slots at night (I moved my appointment to next Tuesday night), so if you want to be sure to be interviewed, just change your appointment while there are still openings.

For what it's worth, we were able to do a walk-in at JFK on a Wed. night at ~6:30 PM.

Thank you for sharing. It is always worth a try. They might have a no show and had a slot open when you walked in last night.

At DFW a couple of years ago, the policy appeared to be that they'd put you on a standby list if you walked in; and then you'd get in only if there were a no-show.

We just showed up. They threatened us with never getting in, but then after a little over an hour there was a no-show and we got in. I didn't call in advance because I knew for sure what the official phone answer would be.

These days they could be stricter.

They took me 30 minutes early, and took a couple people that showed up with family that had an interview scheduled for today, but solos without an interview today were turned away completely

Walk-in interviews seemed unlikely at MCI. There's nobody to talk to at a desk at the CBP office. There's just an agent that comes out every 10-15 minutes that calls out names and goes down the list.

anyone have any experience with walk-in at the new york bowling green location? Just wondering if it would be worth heading down there on a weekend in hopes of sneaking in.

If someone does have experience, any thoughts on whether it would be best to be first in line or near the end of the day or over lunch time, etc.?

any experience with JFK or EWR walk-ins also welcome. They are a drive to get there though so would like a much better idea of success with that.

My observations for SFO walk ups:

This week, I had a 10:45 PM appointment at SFO. While I was not a walk-up, I did observe the conversations with the CBP officer and the walk-up people.

The CBP officer comes out of the SFO office every 5-10 minutes, and into the waiting area. He talks to each person and checks their names against the appointment list. If you identified yourself as a walk-up, the CBP officer simply said:
"I'll note you down as a walk-up. There are X number of walk-ups on front of you".

Officer then proceeded to invite current appointments who were present into the interview room.

So ymmv on whether you get in or how long you'll wait, even at nighttime. There was no mentioning of the 5-person per day walk up limit as stated on prior posts in this thread, and certainly no turning away of people who are walk-ups.

The interview times are also not consistent. When I went in, there were already 3 other people seated. When I left, only 1 person who was there before me had concluded his interview. So as a walk-up there's a lot of variables at play regarding how long you'll wait.

BNA - No (6/15/2016 12:30pm)

As others have described, Nashville's center (which is near, but not at, the airport) has no receptionist or check-in process. There's one room with chairs, and the only other room is where the interviews actually happen.

I asked those in the waiting room whether they all had appointments and they did. I called later in the day to ask whether the Nashville center took walk-ins. The officer let me know in no uncertain terms that "the website says in at least three places that appointments are required."

Welcome to FT. Try to do a new search very frequently or just use a plug in to help you to find a close in appointment at your local interview center. You are very likely to find a slot in the next two weeks.

Earliest appointment I can get in Atlanta is mid September, so I called the Atlanta Port Office location to ask about walk-in interviews. He suggested it was not a good idea as they've had 4 hour waits lately, but didn't rule it out. When I mentioned I had three kids with appointments and he said it to definitely wait for the appointment...

You can use a plug in if you are tech savy. Otherwise just do new searches repeatedly. You are very likely to find something in the next two weeks. Best time is when your local office is open.

Many reported success bringing family member/s to first appointment.

Good luck and let us know your result.

I'm tech savvy enough to use a script, but occasional searching over three days got me an appointment only a few days out.

I actually don't think it's cancellations for these random, close-in dates; I think it's people who simply walked-in earlier for an appointment. As soon as you get your official approval, your future appointment date becomes available.
