List of Global Entry Enrollment Centers

Post your walk-in experiences in the Wiki. If you cannot update the Wiki, then please post in the thread, and someone will paste your data point. Please format it as such under the enrollment center where you attempted to walk-in:

Yes/No [If Yes, put how long you waited in brackets] (Date and time attempted)

If someone in your family had an appointment at that time, please note that, too.

Examples:
Yes [45m] (4/2/2016 10am w/ a family member who had an appointment)
Yes [2h] (4/18/2016 3pm)
No (5/2/2016 12pm w/ a family member who had an appointment)
Yes [25m] (5/10/2016 9am)

-----------------------------------------
Disclaimer: These are only data points. There is no guarantee you will be successful as a walk-in.

Did my interview today in Austin, TX. I arrived 15 minutes early for my scheduled appointment and they were able to see me right away. They didn't seem too busy, so walk-ins might be available? I didn't ask, though, since I had a scheduled time and nobody else was waiting. The whole process was quick and painless. Finding a parking spot took longer than the actual interview. However, I noticed the person in the room next to me had arrived before I did and was still being questioned when I left, so YMMV. Good luck, fellow travelers!

Husband and I had our appointments today at JFK. Arrived there about 20 minutes early for 7:30 and 7:45 pm appointments. Approximately 7 people in the waiting area. Things moved pretty quickly and they called my name just before 7:30. As there was one last person (more about him later) in the waiting room I asked if my husband could come too and the officer said sure. We both sat down and he asked me to verify basic information. Picture taken fingerprints taken.. done. I would say husband only answered about his email address. Picture taken fingerprints taken. Officer explained the GE # is also the KTN #. Upon renewing our passports next year we need to provide that # to CBP online. He told us GE is good for 5 years so we said see you then! We were out of there in under 15 minutes. Approval email received 10 minutes later. yay! ^

Now about that last guy??? They call him in and look for his name on the list. No one with that name. Ask for his conditional approval letter and look up his appointment date. He was a month early! I guess June and July look the same to him. One officer was ready to throw him out another one said hey hes here lets just get it over with and he did. No big fuss. Our officer said he met with 250 people today and at least 6 had some kind of excuse which made him laugh. I told him snagging an appointment is like winning the lotto or getting tickets to see Hamilton on Broadway.

To interview 250 people per day is absurd. That would be more than 30 per hour, assuming an eight hour work day. Two minutes isn't even enough time to walk people to and from the interview room. Perhaps he meant that everyone working at JFK today in total saw 250 people, which could be very reasonable depending on the number of interviewers and interview rooms.

opps my apologies. There were 4 officers working so 250 among them. They were certainly happy to go home after we left. <redacted by moderator>

no walk-ins at IAD or washington yet?

some reported interviews lasting seconds
some places may process a lot of walk-ins, many may be short

whatever policy is now, may become like passport agencies, where walk-ins are absolutely allowed (obviously including people coming from airport) but everything they publish outside the actual agency / online / etc says appointment required using automated system

Walk in interview in Tucson

My application was submitted May 31st, and conditionally approved on June 21st. However I did not see the email nor check the website till June 27th. The earliest time slot I can reserve for interview was July 10th, but I'd be out of country long before that. Since I depart on July 1st for an international trip, i decided to give it a try for a walk-in interview at the Tucson International Airport. When I walked in, no one except a CBP agent was there. He was cool but not too talkative. He asked who I was and why I was there. I calmly explained my wish to have an earlier interview due to my upcoming trip. He proceeds ask me a couple of question, took finger prints, and I was out there in 2 minutes. A really pleasant experience.

Based upon experiences reported in the Global Entry Walk-In Interviews thread, that explanation is false.

That being said, EWR does not allow walk-in appointments.

But I could only find one opening and we need two. I took the one. She still has an appointment for the next time we know we are going to be in SF (2 months later). I am hoping that if we both just show-up at the same time, being family will give us a little better chance getting them squeezing us in together. Or at least letting one of us to wait, as a "walk-in".

We will not mind waiting, as a walk-in, which would be a lot better than getting turned away because they have reached their daily walk-in quota. We were going to endeavor to be walk-ins together, in early July, if I had not found one appointment.

Anyone have any insights?
My husband and I were in a similar situation. We were both scheduled for SFO in September, but I found an earlier appointment (early evening on 6/24) and grabbed it. Based on what I read on Flyertalk, he came along to see if they would see him, too.

There was a sign on the door saying no more walk-ins for the day, but I asked anyway. Both the agent checking me in and the one who called me in for the interview responded with "we'll see," but they ended up calling him in as the next interview after mine. There was no one else waiting at the time.

I hope you have the same good luck!

I personally would like to avoid adding "tag along" walk-ins to the wiki, but that's just me.

The important thing is that the family tag along case is distinguished from true walk-in situations.

That being said, EWR does not allow walk-in appointments.
It could well be true that they only receive details regarding scheduled appointments, but what matters is whether staff are willing and able to look up details for others who tag along or walk in without appointments.

My wife was able to get an earlier interview next week July 8th, but our child is on Sep 15th and mine earliest I see is Sep 21st and we all selected ORD.

Can I and our child get processed next week with my wife? We will all go together and when she goes in next week, I will tell her to request the officer to process 2 of us as well. Hope this happens. Our child is autistic and it ain't easy with one parent or even 2 in a small room.
