UA and US *Gold members are the only ones who cannot use US and UA domestic lounges on domestic itineraries.

I gave Mrs scubadiver PP membership when she was on the road for business a lot. Nowadays we travel mostly for pleasure. It is nearly impossible to concentrate our business on one airline, so elite status is just unreachable.
So, most of the time, it's PP lounges or nothing.
PP lounges are pretty pedestrian in the US, but overseas they can be pleasure domes. Mrs. Scubadiver raved about Hong Kong. I am just happy to find a clean restroom when travelling to the back of beyond.

I have it the second year (with a few month without it, due to my travel) and signed up again.
I use it in the very rare cases I am not flying Star Alliance and as a backup. E.g. the RCC in Seattle closed at 7.00 pm in the past. So a Star Gold did not help much, since this had been the only Star Gold Lounge. Therefore a PP would offer you the choice of a Delta Crown Room or an Alaska Airlines Lounge as well as a Continental President's Club.
The major problem is if you are at an aiprort with different terminals who could not walk over. While it's not a problem to walk in LAX from terminal 7 to 6 (where the Continental lounge is), it's a problem to walk over to the International terminal. Depending of the airlines you are flying, there is a lounge, but you are not able to access it because it's in a different terminal. E.g. Dsseldorf has two PP lounges, but if you are flying Star if does not help because you won't have access to this terminal due to security reasons (okay, it's a bit also depening on staff in duty).
And there are airports (e.g. STL) where you have no lounge at all.
It's nice to have, because I can

A friend was using PP in HKG recently and didn't have a particularly good experience. (Tables packed together like sardines, loos [aka restrooms] outside the lounge, ...) My understanding is that there are several lounges in HKG that accept PP. Can Mrs Scubadiver remember which lounge she used?

I've used PP for four years now--it has come in handy in Asia, where I don't have status. Like others, the wife sometimes get charged, sometimes not. Lounges are hit and miss; SVO is a disaster--I don't think I've been in a more disagreeable lounge than that one; ICN's have been my favorites.

Is anyone aware of any places to get a discounted PP membership? I'm aware of the link through the Freddies award page link, which is good for 15% off plus an extra three months...anything better out there?

Platinum AMEX card gives you the PP membership free...but the annual AMEX fee is $450.00 (or so).
Edit: Sorry, appears this program has changed. Platinum AMEX now give airport lounge access to participating lounges, plus AA lounges. Looks like the PP membership has gone away.

Well I took a new job last week that is going to require me to fly 5 days a week from Phoenix to a different destination each day.
So logically I was thinking I should join a club but it appears all of my flights could be on a different airline each day. The company travel agent chooses the cheapest each time.
Anyone here have a Priority Pass or had one and can give me pros and cons?

If you travel alone, Priority pass is a great deal. if you travel with a companion/workmate/other half, an airline club is usually better. PP charges for guests, which can add up.
The other thing you point out is diversity of airlines Do you know which places you go to most? Check out what lounges are there and decide.. I recently signed up for a World Club membership and changed over from PP due to the guest fees, plus 90% of where I fly have either a WC or a partner lounge that would take the WC card.

I did a search and could not find an answer. I know guests cost 27/person with the 399 plan.
However, while doing a search for different clubs, I run across language that states:
"Spouse and children under 21 years of age, or up to two (2) business associates can enter a Delta Crown Room Club with the cardholder - Cardholder must be 21 years of age or older - Non-smoking."
Does that mean I will be charged if I bring in my wife or business associates? Or does it mean that I am limited to two guests for which I have to pay 27/a person?
