I gave Mrs scubadiver PP membership when she was on the road for business a lot. Nowadays we travel mostly for pleasure. It is nearly impossible to concentrate our business on one airline, so elite status is just unreachable.
So, most of the time, it's PP lounges or nothing.

PP lounges are pretty pedestrian in the US, but overseas they can be pleasure domes. Mrs. Scubadiver raved about Hong Kong. I am just happy to find a clean restroom when travelling to the back of beyond.
