Indeed, the German Amex Plat. seems to be better than the U.S. counterpart, especially regarding the insurance package.

I'm about to lose NW Platinum (Skyteam Elite +) status, and as a USA expat in Europe, this makes a difference. I'm torn between purchasing PP or getting WorldClub membership... in the end I think I'll go w/ WorldClubs as that will get me into the lounges I frequent the most for $250/yr including a guest. But I'm still strongly considering Priority Pass.

Thanks for the pointer, a valid one to be sure. But right now I've got 60,069
EQMs booked and paid for, so I imagine I'll be back to Platinum by year-end!

There should be a palm download so that you could get the information about lounges on your PDA. Even an AvantGo program would be welcomed.

I will be arriving 6h45am on Lufthansa flght in Dubai Terminal 1 and wonder whether I can use the DCA Business Lounge (PP) on my arrival? The lounge is airside terminal 1, but I do not know DXB well enough to see if can access on arrival. Thanks for advice!

Simon,
You may want to do a search... there are lots of threads (and recent ones) on Priority Pass Lounges.... I found 68 threads on a quick search.
Members have provided a lot of great information already.... you may want to review that... and then as if it does not answer your question.

Anybody use it? Is this something worthwhile to spend my money on, considering I have no status?

Welcome to FT....
It is EXTREMELY WORTH it if you have no status....I have one and it does help....having status in the USA means nothing to the clubs unles you are flying over the water....
It is much better to have the card than to pay membership in one club....

I'm toying with getting a membership. Right now I'm seeing if I can get a standard Priority Pass membership for free by applying for a Saks World Elite Mastercard but the application process is giving me some issue. I've apparently been denied by their system for the World Elite card and will be receiving a Platinum card instead.
