I just got my Platinum AeroplanPlus AMEX card yesterday, and I'm a little confused now. I applied online where it does state "Regardless of the airline or class of service you have chosen from, you can access over 500 participating VIP Airport Lounges around the globe with your Priority Pass Membership", but there's nothing in my welcome package. This requires further investigation....

Edit: Called the Plat AMEX line and they signed me up over the phone.

Personally, I think the Freddie offer is the best bang for your buck ($359 for 15 months), but depends on what matters most. This is the AMEX offer, if you click the 'go' button it will launch the PP site with 2 offers, the Prestige Membership at $320 for unlimited access for a year, PLUS the first 2 guest visits free.

Priorty Pass Lounge Access Questions

First of all I am sorry if this is in the wrong section. Maybe you can start a Priority Pass Section to discuss this membership program, secretes etc.

I finally got my PP card in the mail yesterday as I am the proud cardholder of the Bank of America Accolades Amex Card. I learned about this card awhile back and now I had the time to look over the information. When I saw Priority Pass as a benefit with unlimited access for the cardholder I knew this would be a cool card to have for a FT member.

My Question is out of the airside lounges at SFO which one do you prefer? I was thinking to choose the Continental Lounge with the free alcohol.

Thanks for your help.

Cool, unlimited access to lounges.
Where did you get the card?

It is very good and in the US it comes with the Amex Centurion card. It can also be purchased on an annual membership basis and, as noted by the OP, apparently is now a perk of some other Amex products. http://www.prioritypass.com/

I know it is a perk of the Dutch and German Amex Platinum/Centurioncards.

CO is landside, as is DL. AS, UA (Int'l) and NW are airside, in the respective terminals.

Quick Question

In order to use a lounge with a Priority Pass card do I have to be traveling on that airline?

For example, When I am in LAS I would use the CO lounge when taking UA?

I got it from Bank of America

I signed up with the AMEX Accolades Card. If you are part of the Premier Banking you get your $200 fee waived. Also they give you a free membership to Priority Pass. Instead of paying the $300+ yearly fee I get unlimited access to lounges throughout the world. And guest only pay $25 considering most lounges charge $50.

One question I had was with my AMEX Black Card can I use American Admirals Club with an AA ticket on the day of travel?

Yes, but only if it the Centurion card (or Platinum card). Just because it is an Amex and black coloured it won't get you in.

With my Amex Plat Citi I get three admittances to Priority Pass lounges at no charge. My question is, if I leave the lounge and come back right away because my flight is delayed will that count as another visit?

One question about the PP- can I still use the lounge if I'm getting off of a flight and want to relax? I.e. Is PP just restricted to travelers who are about to board a flight?

Better yet, do I even need to be flying to use the lounge? E.g. dropping off a friend at the airport, swing by the lounge?

PP lounges don't care where you are going or where you came from. They are getting paid by PP when you hand over your card.
