Don't know if the Accolades card is different than the "normal" PP plans but my PP prestige membership allows me unlimited numbers of lounge visits at no charge per visit (annual fee, of course). Each guest - and that includes wife and child - are $27 each per visit.

I said platinum but meant prestige.

That stinks that the immediate family is not free like the airline club memberships.

NOT TRUE, i have a Priority Pass Membership and it does vary by club who can enter with you!! For instance in MSP, all immediate family members may enter with you at the UA RCC; in IAH at the CO PC, up to 6 guests per cardholder may enter; at the DL CRC at LGW one guest per cardholder may enter.

You really need to read the "Lounge Directory" published by Priority Pass!!

What's the point? Sure, a different number of guests may enter, but you have to pay for them.

Exactly. Whatever the quantity of guests permitted per lounge, they are $27 per guest per visit.

No, not true. I visited lounges where I had to pay for every guest, but I also visited lounges where my guests where totally free.

LOL! Brobbel must have a really special PP card.
Mine allows for one free entry for one person.

Then that lounge gave you a break. Priority Pass guest charges - as stated in the PP program - are not differentiated by lounge.

Yep. Like an opup or getting miles for an award flight.
Enjoy the luck, but don't take it for granted.

The Bank of America Accolades card provides its Premier clients access to Priority Pass' Prestige Membership level ($399)*.

http://prioritypass.com/Join/What-It-Costs.cfm

*I believe there is already a thread that covers how to get the Priority Pass membership fee waived.

But as Prof noted above, the PP lounge guide specifically has unique policies for many lounges. Read the guide, and look at lounges such as the Icare lounge at CDG T1. It specifically allows Children up to age 12 in free. Many lounges allow children up to age 2 for free. Some allow spouses for free. It's written in black and white in the PP guide.

I am aiming for the 'all you can get' tier, I see 20% off and better deals hiding around?

The Freddie Awards site has a link to PP that offers you 15% off PLUS an extra three months.

Caveat emptor!

One important thing to remember that the folks at Priority Pass customer service don't tell you when you sign up is that you can't upgrade in the middle of a membership year.

Say you sign up for the Standard membership ($99 + $27/entry, no free entries). If you change jobs, requiring a significantly higher amount of travel and need to upgrade to their Standard Plus membership ($249 + 10 entries + $27/entry after 10), you're just out of luck.

The refuse to accept, for example, the difference between $249 and $99 to upgrade. They also refuse to offer a pro-rated upgrade as well.

Not very accomodating in the current economic climate.

+1

I've always been charged $27 for every guest (including my toddler)- even where the directory says guests are permitted.
