So the routing we are looking for was PNS - ___ - ___ - ___ - MIA - EYW.

I had to look on a map to see that Panama City was east of Pensacola (not west like I'd thought) so let's try PNS-Panama City-TPA-MCO-MIA-EYW with the Electra.

14. And nope, it wasn't Corsair with nonstop service from Paris Orly.

But your comment indicates you are on the right track.

2. Seat 2A is correct! Here's the complete sched....

NA 372: New Orleans (MSY) 7:10a - 7:45a Mobile (MOB) 8:00a - 8:22a Pensacola (PNS) 8:40a - 9:09a Panama City (PFN) 9:25a - 11:20a Tampa (TPA) 11:50a - 12:17p Orlando (MCO) 12:35p - 1:20p Miami (MIA) 1:50p - 2:25p Key West (EYW)
Freq: Daily
Service classes: A/T
Meal services: Snack MSY-MOB & MOB-PNS, Lunch MCO-MIA
Equip: Electra PROP JET

It must have been interesting to have been served a snack between Mobile and Pensacola given the very short flight time.

And speaking of Key West, some very good friends are currently en route on AA from EYW to LFT via MIA and DFW for a visit with us and their delayed flight on board a 787 from Miami to Dallas/Ft. Worth will land at DFW shortly. Very unfortunately, due to winter weather, AA Eagle has now cancelled all of their flights from DFW to LFT for today and tomorrow and it appears the same is true concerning AA Eagle service today and tomorrow from DFW to AEX, BTR and LCH. So our friends will no doubt attempt to head home to northern California and hopefully not become stranded at DFW.

Hmmm, so if ‘right track’ could mean a clue to direction of flight, then maybe SABENA from Brussels with a B747-300

14. Ah, it wasn't Sabena nonstop from Brussels and I don't believe the equipment was a B747-300 (aircraft listed as "747" in the sched in question).

I was once served a full hot snack with tray service and drinks aboard an Air New Zealand 737-300 on a 32 minute flight between Queenstown (ZQN) and Christchurch. Service started within about five minutes after becoming airborne. Frontier once served a snack on the 20 minute leg between Durango and Cortez aboard a 580 - but it was a bagged collection of goodies. That was 1977

C'mon Grampa - tell us another story!
