I also think AVENSA may have even served London at one point but I'm not sure if they actually did.....
Don't think they did.

When Viasa went under, their licences to Europe were scattered by destination country by the Venezuelan CAA across multiple of their regional carriers, of which only Avensa even got started, with a couple of DC-10s leased from Varig. They at least got Lisbon, Madrid and Milan/Rome, the best set - there's a significant Portuguese and Italian diaspora in Venezuela. The UK, in contrast, has never had any significant contact with Venezuela. After a year or two the two DC-10s went back to Varig for a major check, it was never paid for so they never came back, and that was the end of Avensa's European venture.

Which airline was flying a Convair 580 on scheduled services in Europe at this time?
Which cities did it serve?
I watched a YouTube video on a Partnair CV580 crash recently, but they were charter-only I thought. However, maybe they dabbled in scheduled services so

Partnair
Oslo, Trondheim, Stavanger?

Yes, it was Partnair but operating for another carrier.
Name the other airline and the route to finish this one.

Indeed it was Ryanair but the route was Galway GWY to Luton LTN.
LN-BWG was used for four months during 1988, whilst awaiting ATR 42 deliveries, according to the caption of this photo:

No, it wasn't Colgan or an SF34 either.
Time for a clue: the stop was on the west coast of FL.

about the only city on the west coast of FL that we haven’t mentioned is Sarasota/SRQ (well, there’s also Naples/APF but I don’t think they had scheduled service in 2008) ... how about Piedmont (as American Eagle) with a CRJ-200

No, it wasn't Piedmont with a CRJ200 via SRQ either.

Care to think again about Naples?

APF, huh? little to no chance that this is correct, but ASA in its own right (not as Delta Connection) with an EMB-120 Brasilia

No, not ASA or a Brasilia either. I think the ASA E120s were long gone by 2008.
Please try again.

It's getting late now - I'll look again about midnight. Let me know if you want the answer posted Monday a.m. or if you want to continue with this one.
