you can still access Pricing, Fare Rules & Routing Rules for SU Fares by manually entering the Fare Basis Code.

Hi, how to do that? I don't see any input field named 'Fare Basis Code'.

Looks like a Segment Marriage or a POS issue:
update: seems like ITA or a travel agent is able to see the availability as well. 3 of us are booked in D. managed to switch 2 of us to K. last passenger left in D. obsessively checked KVS but both D and K zeroed out. only C available. run a saved search on ITA and it priced it in K class. KVS still said zero. called travel agent (airline closed on weekend) and agent managed to snare K. |
Hmm, I'm seeing (or rather, er, not seeing) a lot of missing results for a Star Alliance KIX-LAX search.
Specifically, UA's site shows C availability for Asiana and Eva. But KVS isn't showing any matched availability (just cases in which one segment on NH or UA shows C available, the matching segment does not) This is for the following search: - Awards/StarAlliance - KIX-LAX - 1 Apr 2015 - Airlines: *A all - POS: JP-ANA-STD - 2 seats - No filter What am I doin' wrong here? Thanks! Edited to add: Hmm, I tried Awards/AC-StarAlliance for Apr 2, and -- while I now see NH & OZ -- BR (Eva Air) is still missing, despite showing saver-seats available via united.com. :\ And... hmm... maybe BR stands for "Broken." BR doesn't show up under Timetable for KIX-LAX either unless I search for it specifically vs. All Airlines. Strange! |

Ah, okay, interesting. It shows up as an option in united.com, so I didn't think it was too crazy. Appreciate the quick and helpful info!

KVS Tool and fare purchase
I signed up for the KVS Availability Tool a couple of days ago and have been able to use it to identify some good fares. However, my version of KVS does not appear to have the functionality to actually purchase/book a particular fare of interest, or direct one to where that fare can be purchased (I am not interested in an award ticket at this time). Am I missing something? Is the KVS Availability Tool simply for information only?

Right. You have to book through another source.

Do we have to, on our own, start visiting one travel website (Expedia, Orbitz...) after another, to try and find where KVS got that fare? Since KVS is getting that particular fare from somewhere, it seems reasonable that KVS would direct the user to where that particular fare is being extracted, no?
