It flags the password field as red and says that the required DL.com password is 6-20 characters (which is why I'm assuming the tool is erroring out before it searches). However, my DL.com password is only 4 characters and I confirmed that it is still a working/valid password. Why did the tool switch to requiring a 6-char pwd when DL does not?

The legacy DL SM login option (using a 4 digit PIN + Last Name) is being phased-out by DL and is not supported in the KVS Tool. Please set-up a password for your SM account.

Access to DL reservations (by PNR or ticket number) also seems to be broken in 7.4.0 and 7.4.0.R1.

Thanks for reporting the issue -- please download V7.4.0.R2 and try again.

I've been having an issue with JL award searches. It seems like if you try to search 330 days it says that there and error and its outside of the range. The max i can seem to get is around 322 days.

Which airlines are you searching? I can see CX and AA award info just fine for dates right up to the limit (~329 days):

Very odd. I was checking CX from JFK to HKG. I'm out at the moment so I can't check if its working again.

Thanks again.

'Exceptions Exist' in MCT. Is there a way to find out more info on the exceptions?

Hi KVS, I'm looking at the MCT report for DCA which shows a DD of 45. However, above it, it says that 'exceptions exists'. Is there any way of finding out what the exceptions are?

I have a booking that has been changed by the airline which brings the connection time at DCA down to 24 minutes from 31 minutes. Before I call them I was wondering what the official rules were. It seems that 31 minutes must have been a valid connection when it was booked. Perhaps this is an exception?

If you put in the airlines you are connecting from/to in the 'connect airlines' box, it will show you any exceptions that apply to that airline at that airport.

For example, 'DL-DL' at DCA gives:

[KVS Availability Tool 7.3.9 - Reference: Minimum Connection Time [MCT]: DCA/DL-DL]
Code:

                                              DD  DI  ID  II

DL-DL ONLINE      DCA                          025 --- --- ---

Perfect, thanks very much KQ321.

In my case it's US-US which shows 30 mins MCT. Our flights are now less than that due to changes by the airline. I'll call them to discuss options.

What does KVS stand for? Just curious.

It does not really stand for anything -- just an easy-to-type 3-letter combination that was still available for registration as a FT username back in January 2004.

5 months later, the KVS Tool was born.

Are there any plans to introduce UK POS? I'm strongly considering switching to ExpertFlyer (plus, can access it from anywhere) because I can no longer rely on US POS...

KVS Tool currently supports 2 POS options for Regular Availability (US & JP) and this is unlikely to change in the near future.

With regard to BA's UK POS, in most cases, you can actually take advantage of the more favourable POS US Availability (e.g. by calling BA's US Call Center).

Getting KVS

Hello,

I would like to know if there's any way to get the KVS application working for free. Because I don't need to use it often for paying a membership. it's just a search every 4 to 7 months. Adding that it's really difficult and expensive to get dollars here in Venezuela because we have a currency exchange control /:

Hope there's a method.

Carlos:confused:

Thanks, but this doesn't work for Joker availability, and recently when I've called the US office, they saw that the ticket was bought in the UK / UK BAEC address and revert to UK POS and GBP.
