KVS Mobile Companion and Airport Code

When I check availability on my tablet using the Mobile companion for YYZ - to GRU (*A) (Feb 27th) it loads AC90 as YYZ to SAP not GRU (same for other *A carriers).

Comparing to my desktop KVS, booking class / availability appears to be correct. Just curious why the arriving airport code is incorrect? I know it downloads what it receives from Sabre, but why SAP not GRU? I don't want to upgrade to Honduras, or go there, for that matter. Thanks KVS.

The Availability Engine in the KVS Tool Mobile Companion may experience occasional issues interpreting certain airport names/codes. You can verify the routing by clicking the http://www.kvstool.com/Images/InfoSquareBlue16.png [Flight Info] icon and use the Contact Form to quickly report any such occurrences.

Rest assured, the Flight #, Availability, and all other data are always correct.

Interestingly, I'm seeing some disagreement between Awards/OneWorld and Awards/BA-OneWorld on AKL-SYD on Jan 30 and 31. On Jan 30, OneWorld shows no seats on the LAN flight, though BA-Oneworld shows YS9. On Jan 31, OneWorld shows YS+ for 2 seats, but not 3, on the LAN flight (but with QF flight number), while BA-OneWorld shows YS3. On a separate note, I've read elsewhere that AAdvantage awards can't even use this segment, but I'm not sure where that is officially stated.

Looks like a system connectivity issue between LA and its partners. Their own system is currently reporting zero YS Award Availability on both of those dates.

Award seats on the QF/LA codeshares are only available to QF FFP members, so they are irrelevant if you are redeeming AADV mileage.

Hi KVS,

For some reason my Enhanced Seat Map functionality is not working.

Have posted on a forum before asking people for a seat map for a particular flight like BA7311 / in PE for 10 Aug 2012.

My basic seat map works but the enhanced one does not - the error is below:

Unable to find a matching flight, or the flight is not currently available for sale in the requested cabin class [2].

/AE

Routing Rules

KVS-

I posted this issue a little over a week ago and it seems to still be abound. I cannot view routing rules for various fares, across Sabre, Galileo, or ATP method(s). I'm able to pull up fare basis, prices, etc., however routing rules constantly result in 'NO FARE IN SYSTEM'. I've spot checked different airlines, fare buckets, etc. to see if its a specific issue - alas, no.

I'm sitting on a Diamond membership, so I know I'm not insufficient in privileges. Is there something I'm not doing correctly?

Thanks!

Data Source Error[I]:

ANA

Hello,

So I have just acquired the KVS Tool Diamond membership and I've been playing around with it a little bit in order to get a grip of things...

I have encountered a few problems and a question regarding fares.

I am a macbook user so I need to run the program through 'Crossover'

- When trying to search for fares with the Sabre tool, it gives me an error message (Galileo / ATP work fine)
- When trying to check for upgrade availability for UACO it gives me an error message saying UA MP settings are not set correctly ??
- When trying to search for *A award availability via SNT it also gives me an error message ("Engine Error [SF1-BKM]")
Here again, the ITA tool works fine.

Now I have a question regarding fares. I need to fly HKG-EWR(NYC) in late february. Im looking into getting the direct shuttle offered by UACO.
KVS tool gives me a fare at:
[KVS Availability Tool 6.9.2/Diamond - ATP: Fares/FC/US]
Code:

HKG  Hong Kong Intl HK [VHHH]
EWR  New York Newark Liberty Intl NJ US [KEWR]
R/T

Carrier    From    To    Fare      Cur  Total    Q    YQYR  Fare Basis
---------  ------  ----  --------  ----  --------  ---  ----  -------------
CO        HKG    EWR      723  USD      866        139  KLE0ZEC4
UA        HKG    EWR      723  USD      1000        277  KLE0ZEC4
CO        HKG    EWR      798  USD      941        139  KKE0ZEC4
UA        HKG    EWR      798  USD      1075        277  KKE0ZEC4

I understand that the total of 866 includes YQ surcharges?!
Now KLE0ZEC4 gives me:
1,078.40 USD on united and continental websites.

In the fare rules its also specified that this offer is valid until the 31.January - which probably means that I would have to book it by then to ensure that low fare?

thanks for helping.

As per the reply in Post #4507, there is currently an issue with the Routing Rules Engine for certain Fares. If there are any particular one(s) you are interested in, please feel free to PM their details (city pair/carrier/Fare Basis) and we will look them up for you.

As mentioned in the KVS Tool User Guide at http://Help.KVSTool.com/#Mac, a bug in the CrossOver Mac system currently prevents the use of the [Awards/StarAlliance] Method by its Mac users.

Please use the [Awards/AC-StarAlliance] Method instead or consider switching to another solution, such as Parallels or VMWare for Mac.

The Fuel Surcharge is actually $277 for both UA & CO Fares, so the total ticket price is $1 078 USD ($723 Base Fare + $277 YQ + $78 Taxes).

Yes, but the ticket price is also subject to Availability.

KVS - Thank you. I should've been a bit more polite in rephrasing my question to asked if the issue had been fixed yet ;)

Thanks again for all you do for us!

I have been checking BA award availability and I am curious because sometimes it will let me check flights 355 days out, but often I will get an error message ("Please try using a different POS setting for this query."). Am I getting lucky when it will let me check +355, or is it a bug that it won't let me always check +355?

Now this is really obscure (and might belong on the BAEC board) but I am a little curious about how the +355 (or +354) rules work across time zones. Are the tickets released by BA at midnight GMT for anyone to book, or do people only have access to book whatever is available when the new day starts in their time zone (I am in the US, if you couldn't guess).

Last, I use KVS on both a PC and a mac (via crossover), but the mac has not been able to startup since the new version came out. I assume I have to uninstall and reinstall the new version?

either: Error 9001: Time-Out Requesting Data
or: Error 9002: No Data received

and: Error 12157: The Application Experienced An Internal Error Loading The SSL Libraries

actually this time after I clicked OK, a few fares showed up.

For the rest: Thanks alot!
