IO error

That part of the system is back to normal now.

I've started using the Routing menu option a lot more often recently, so I'm not sure if this is a new problem or just one I never encountered before. But if I look at more than a few routing rules inside of a period of time (like 3 times within 5 minutes), then I get the following error:

"[HOST ERROR]"Server I/O - Error, try again later""

I tried deleting cookies, setting the Internet options to accept 1st party cookies, etc, but didn't see anything in the help file for this specific problem. Does the system simply not allow for multiple queries in a short period of time? That'd be a disappointment for segment runners who are constantly looking at different city combinations' routing rules.

Thanks.

The mainframe, which handles that function, can get a bit 'temperamental' at times. No action is necessary on your end -- just try again in a minute or so.

I'm a beta user of the LX award functionality and have not had success getting it to work. I have been getting "Invalid PIN" errors, both with the initial download and the new version I just upgraded to now.

I have a M&M number and PIN that I know work (M&M is my main *A plan and so I am over there logging in quite often). I've tried re-entering numerous times. Any ideas what is wrong?

This is, most likely, a data entry error -- please clear both fields, restart the Tool, and try entering your Card# & PIN again.

Outbound LGW-BGI works fine.

Version is 5.2.0/Diamond

Great news! All origin points (including IAH and BGI) will soon be supported when searching for OneWorld award availability in the KVS Tool.

Please PM if you would like to participate in the Beta release.

I'm a Diamond user. I am having problems searching for IB availability ex-MAD using the tool.

The BA web site (and AA.com reservations) show availability on a leg MAD-TLV in Y. The KVS tool returns the applicable flight, but lists them as CS+ with no entry for Y (not even YS-).

I've found this to be true on a number of other IB and BA flights, where the tool doesn't even indicate Y availability.

Is this a known bug? What can I do to fix it?

Thanks!

Please provide specific date(s) & flight number(s).

Also, were you actually able to complete your award booking(s) or were you just told that there was availability?

Is there any chance to provide wider search options (for married segments) by

a) increasing the connection time which is captured by a search;
b) by increasing the number of transfer points?

This is rarely needed, however, this is a good option for cheap fares which do not allow stopovers to get pseudo stopovers (ie close to 24 hours). LX website is good in such searches by the way.

Connections are built by the respective GDSs, based on the input parameters (which you can specify, such as carrier and time preferences), as well as the internal parameters (which cannot be specified and are, generally, 'biased' toward 'normal' PAX, who prefer shorter connections).

As to the first point, I'll have to go back through and look when I'm at a computer with KVS (not the one I'm at right now). I do remember that it wasn't just one day, or one flight number. It was the same two flights (IB only has two flights daily to TLV), and for a number of dates from late May to early June, BA and KVS only agreed about 80% of the time.

I didn't complete the award booking because I'm still holding out for better dates. However, I was on the phone with BA and they claim they would have been able to book, and online I could go all the way up through the final confirmation screen. They were also showing plenty of availability (more than 4 seats on each flight). Maybe this is a problem with QF more than it is with IB/BA?

I tried to use KVS and I can't see any way to pull Delta upgrade fare classes. I can see Awards, but no upgrades. Am I missing something?

DL award booking classes are supported, but DL upgrade classes are not -- please see http://Help.KVSTool.com/#Classes

If I want to upgrade a 6-month plat membership to diamond, what will happen when I process the diamond contribution?

- Will I get refunded the $35 I paid today and charged $45?
- Will I get billed an extra $10?
- Will I have paid 80$ for 6 months of diamond?

It's unclear to me which scenario seems likely...TIA.

If you decide to upgrade from Platinum to Diamond shortly after becoming a Platinum member for 6M, you can select the 2M Diamond option, in which case both amounts will be combined and pro-rated to 7.3M Diamond.

Alternatively, you can select the 6M Diamond option, in which case you would get 12.8M Diamond (this includes the annual bonus).
