I just started using KVS yesterday and its great that the X1 (United) awards and upgrades are working again, however, I noticed that the aircraft type is not showing. Is that normal? It does show in the StarNet search.

Thank you for providing all of the Delta awards -- looks great!!! A couple of questions: What are FX and CX? I'm seeing them on a number of flights, but don't see them in the list above. Is there a YX?

SkyTeam award availability comes from a number of different sources, depending on the specific carrier.

Sure, but the search labeled "SkyTeam" was specifically a window to nwa.com and now is a window to delta.com. It was simply incomplete and SkyTeam searches required that plus other searches if there were other specific carriers that nwa.com didn't cover.

So now it searches delta.com which is fine for some inventory. And there are the other tools for the other carriers. But there is no coherent search for SkyTeam inventory and the one that is labeled "SkyTeam" was previously just searching nwa.com.

To suggest otherwise is rather misleading.

Good question...

Skyteam -> NWA.com (will probably be switched to Delta.com or another Skyteam member airline website)
Star Alliance -> ANA.co.jp (which is why you need an ANA FF# to use it)
Oneworld -> qantas.com (which is why you need a Qantas FF# to use it)
CX Awards -> cathaypacific.com
X1 (United Airlines) Awards -> United.com (until they changed things around yesterday)

etc.

Passport/visa info comes from timatic.com. All the inventory searches are similarly available. To the best of my knowledge the only bits that aren't regularly available online to anyone are the MCT numbers, and that may just be that I haven't found them yet. ;)

As per the other thread:

http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/air-c...-aeroplan.html

under what circumstances would the Aeroplan agent state that there is no award availability on AC or one of the Star Alliance partners, but the ANA/KVS tool states there is such availability? If the ANA/KVS tool is correct, is it possible that the Aeroplan agent is incorrect about Aeroplan availability, and do we have an appeal process?

There are lots of possible reasons, incl. the human factor. See also http://FAQ.KVSTool.com

It's more than possible -- it's very likely.

Yes -- hang up and try a different agent or request to speak to a supervisor.

It would be easier to appeal, if there was a way we state to the agent or supervisor (without going to a different agent) how we got the information that there are indeed award seats available, even though we were told initially by the Aeroplan agent that there was no such availability. I guess one can truly say, after using the KVS tool, that the ANA web site, does state that such award availability does exist?

YX/CX/FX means that the DL award level is unknown -- pls refer to http://Help.KVSTool.com/#Methods for more details.

You need to goto [My Profile: My Travel Preferences: Display Preferences] section of the MP website and re-set the [Airline Equipment Display Format] option to the default (blank) value.

KVS, you say that KQ award inventory is available, but it's not. Even after going to the link you suggest for Method Information, it clearly states that the only award inventory showing is DL, KL, AF so pretty much just what delta.com shows. Both the online tool, and my computer tool do not display the W or D classes for KQ...can you please point out how I can see it as available as many people on here seem to have the same problem of not finding it. Thanks!
