A simple search query using the Sabre / TVN option for a r/t business class fare on BD, MANLAS returns only economy fares - even with the max box checked.
Using Fares / DotRes is worse still as this produces the error message that more than one match has been found for the city entered. Sabre: Fares/DotRes: * This method cannot retrieve fares from/to MAN (Manchester UK) and NAN (Nadi FJ), due to a bug in the DotRes engine.

However, the system storing ANA membership # and PIN on the *A awards search is a welcome improvement.

I have just checked, and it appears that AC.com is not calculating the fare correctly:

And also where did you get the fuel surcharge to be CAD360? (AC website states that the YQ is CAD428.66) I'm planning to call AC reservation to challenge the calculation. So I need to be armed with this information. |

use the [Sabre: Fares/DotRes] Method instead, where a specific cabin class can be specified.
It was one of the 2 reasons to register with this tool, the second was RTW fares. I hope you will resolve these issues. |

The difference is that you have only the fares for a specific date, not all the fares for a travel, like ZUJ.

The loss of being able to pull up all fares with Fares/TVN within a market and then read the fare rules makes the value of KVS greatly diminished. Fares/DotRes is only usefull when u know the exact travel dates. Will a menu option to list highest fares first solve the issue? |

RIP the Fares/ZUJ Engine: 03 Sep 2006 - 13 Oct 2008. |

The above calculation was from the ITA engine. Good luck and be sure to post back with the outcome...
CAD has devalued a lot lately and if one way U fare is CNY6660, the fare in CAD would be closer to CAD2320 than CAD2265. The difference would only be the YQ difference. |

(AC website states that the YQ is CAD428.66) The YQ surcharge in the quoted display was 360 USD, not 360 CAD. The rules for figuring out the amount of these surcharges are complicated, but I think that all of the pricing systems will agree that the surcharge is more like CAD 425 after conversion (it will vary day to day with the exchange rate). For better or worse, our tax breakdown shows amounts in their original currency, and in this case it was USD. Our shorthand is "$" for USD and "C$" for CAD. |

I'm looking into the CNY->CAD exchange rate discrepancy that was noted here, and hopefully we can address it soon.

Yes, bit why would it become "available again"? :)

I understand that you are at the mercy of providers and the fares/ZUJ engine was not under your control. But as others have pointed out, this is a major loss in functionality for KVS.
I just spent a couple hours, unsuccessfully, trying to do what would have taken 20 min tops in the past with KVS. Fares TVN is ok for coach fares, but completely missed business fares for my searches. I just wanted to avoid paying $7k for a short notice flight to europe in business class and was willing to fly anywhere west coast to anywhere in N europe. I gave up on KVS and used ITA to "needle in the haystack" search to find some better deals and ultimately wound up finding an AF Z fare that has a 5 day advance purchase for around $2500. Neither of the KVS fare tools seem to pull that up. I am not sure what else is out there for you to tap into, but that lost functionality is critical to me. |
