I'm using KVS Tool through Crossover for Mac, and sometimes the thing just get "stuck" where the keyboard would stop typing, but everything else would still function, if you know what I mean? So if I select a piece of text and type something, rather than overwriting it I'd get the cursor to shift up or down, that kind of stuff... like if Num Lock was off and you tried to type using the number pad. If I restart the program that solves it. Do you know what this is?

i am getting an 12007 error Named cant be resolved

Server could not be resolved. I have tried to restart KVS with no luck.

Could you check availability for award travel in J for 12/19 KL 602 and 1233 (lax-ams-cdg). It shows up as available on flying blue site but not available when I call in. Could it be a point of sale problem?

Just signed up, looking to book a couple BOS - HKG trips on CX... been playing around with the tool and just reading.

I signed up for JMB and when I put in award availability BOS - HKG, route not supported, so I should just look for availability separately? IE JFK - HKG, ORD-HKG, etc?

To check AA Award Availability between BOS-JFK/BOS-LAX, you need to select the AA option for the [Awards/JL-OneWorld] Method or use the [Awards/OneWorld] / [Awards/BA-OneWorld] Methods to search for BOS-HKG.

SNT: Awards/Star Alliance

When using the SNT option to look for award travel it gives me an error of ANA, however when I use ITA: Awards/AC Star Alliance I am able to return results.

Is there a issue with the SNT servers?

I keep received the following error after doing an award search using the JL-Oneworld method for JFK-HKG...

Looks like a temporary datalink/communication issue between the [Awards/JL-OneWorld] Engine and CX's systems -- please try again later.

KVS trouble
 

Just signed up for and downloaded KVS Tool. When searching for award availability I'm getting a "No Award Availability" result. I'm searching for a Nov 17 flight from RIO to PHX on One World Alliance, tried searching by leg through MIA.

I entered my BA account in the settings tab and used the following for the search.

Method: Amadeus: Awards/BA-OneWorld
Awards/Upgrades Tab
From: RIO
To: MIA
Date: 17 Nov 2012
Airline: *0 OneWorld
Cabins: All
Sort by: Connections

Hit "Go" and I get no award availability.... where am I going wrong?

I get the same result. Have you considered the possibility that there just isn't any award availability?

As another test I tried using KVS to search Nov 6, 2012 for award flights to EZE from PHX on OneWorld, and I get the "no award availability" result as well. Even though direct on the AA website there are award seats showing for 20k mile coach, 50k business and 62.5k first class.

Why the difference? Do I have something setup incorrectly? I am a Diamond Member.

Just trying to get the reigns of this tool.

For the RIO to PHX trip, I guess there is no award availability unless I'm still missing something.

There is no Award Availability on those AA Flights -- you can use the [Awards/JL-OneWorld], which will show zero Award Availability explicitly:

There is F Award Availability via MIA. There may also be other Award Availability using more creative routings, but you would need to search segment-by-segment:

I just signed up for the KVS Tool and I had a question.

I was looking at YYZ-FRA in LH for 7/26/12. KVS shows no awards available for F and J on LH471.

However, the flight looks quite open up front. F4 A4 J9 C9 D9 Z9.

Am I interpreting the results correctly? The cabin is basically empty, yet LH is not releasing the seats to Aeroplan / Star Alliance members?

As SuperFlyBoy had indicated, there are now Y/C/F Award Seats Available on the flight in question.

For intra-US DL flights, it is best to use the [Awards/DL-SkyTeam] Method instead:

I just purchased/installed 7.0.3/diamond. I was hoping to get an understandable explanation of the routing rules for a flight I'm taking today, my intent being to SDC from a single connection to two-connection if the routing rules allow for it. Or if they don't, to see what other cities are allowed that would result in more mileage accrual.

I managed to get my flight to save to the My Trips tab, and the My Bookings tab. My Bookings just takes me to the Delta website to view my trip. The My Trips tab if I try to Load Itinerary it takes me to the Fares tab, but from there if I try to Go, it tells me:

"Minimum advance booking of 48 hours required"

From what I've found in the FAQ, it sounds like this Fares tab is where I need to be to view routing rules, however I can't view the rules for my flight because of the above error.

Is there a way for me to get the flight to load so I can view the rules or is this only going to work for flights in the future? I bought it in hopes of using it as a tool to help me determine what I can SDC to last minute to increase mileage if I don't have time constraints on a given day.
