Can I use the KVS Tool to search for "T" award availability for AA?

When I search using the tool I only see results for "Y".

If you mean MileSAAver awards, just use the BA or QF functions?

looking for a journey from ICN to GRU on AF , i can't see the booking price F1SF0KR (discount First class) on different methods proposed, that is shown by ITA.
Is there a method that shows all the prices?

F1SF0KR is actually a Private Fare and it appears that ITA is using it in-error.

So, ITA have access to private fares that KVS/GDS don't show;
Nevertheless, a fare that you qualify as "in-error" is right for consumers (-40% !)

Well - resolved to the extent that premium fares display again^^ - but it looks like ALL fares display, though I requested just Business fares?

Doesn't seem to be fully working for UA. Can't get the C/F cabin (2 cabin plane) to work on some routes. Example - UA126, LAX-IAD on 8/5. Always brings up just the coach cabin. Note that this is a pmCO 752 with the lie flat BF seats (as well as E+)

KVS why are all the booking classes displaying on a EY award search? Just last week only the First, Business and Economy classes would show up.

It was better that way rather then going through each flight looking for the particular award seat.

Trouble with enhanced seatmap
 

I am trying to check the enhanced seatmap for Eco and Biz on LX38 for April 21 or 22. Both requests keep coming up with the error "Unable to find a matching flight, or the flight is currently not available for sale in the requested Cabin Class [2]" while normal seat maps work fine. Headed over to expertflyer to take a look at the seatmap and there it shows the info, including blocks etc.

Can this be fixed?

larryr, use the Filter option to only view the booking classes you require.

Too much hassle applying the filter every time. The tool itself used to filter them out until a update last week.

...not as much of a hassle as sifting through the list to find the codes you want. ;)

I haven't done this myself for the EY search, but have for other searches. Notice the "Filter" dropdown on the award search tab itself. In the picture you posted for the new version it is set to "All". In the old picture you posted it was set to "Award". I think that is the filter you need to apply (rather than a strict class filter on the "Filter" tab)

This is an issue with the Graphical Seat Maps Engine -- please use one of the regular Seat Map options in cases like this.

The [DotRes] Engine can currently return either Economy Fares only or all Fares (incl. Economy/Business/First).

Any explanation why on this date the default departure time is not working?

It's a quirk of the [FS] Engine -- it does not natively support (Any Time) requests, so queries without departure time may not always work.

We will be adjusting the error message in the next KVS Tool update to help avoid confusion.

Equipment identification
 

For UA, in the KVS tool is there a way to identify specific equipment, such as registration number, aircraft number, or UA code (i.e. 77Q) used for a specific flight? If not, any suggestions where else I might find that? Thank you!

No way on KVS except trying to match up the seat plan to something like SeatGuru.

mobile.united.com will allow you to get the registration number, seat maps, and the type of seating, which will generally get you the info you need to determine which version of an aircraft is flying. It only allows you to select flights a few days in the future, but you can manipulate to browser address to access flights further out in some cases

If you double-click a flight in the KVS Tool and expand the Aircraft Info menu, there will be a Aircraft Registration look-up link.

Otherwise, as jasonvr had already mentioned, you can always match-up the cabin layout by retrieving Seat Maps for a particular flight.

Graphical Seatmap error?

Maybe just bad luck on my part, it failed every time I tried it. Tried on 4 or 5 different flights and types of aircraft.

On another topic ...

You were talking about using the mobile.united.com to get the registration number in the future by playing with the date in the url??). If all you want is the aircraft type, there is a weekly aircraft type download for wide bodies on unitedcargo.com. Admittedly for 772, there is the constant possibility of an aircraft swap, but at least it shows you where the IPTE 772 are supposed to be flying.

It still works, however be sure not to manually click the redirect link when it appears in your browser (you also cannot use a link if you copy-and-paste it).

I see, it works.

Under IE default security (Internet Zone), you have to allow blocked content.

I am not user of KVS tool, but before buying licence, I would like to know if there is possible to find awards tickets for Korean Air flights, concretely between Seoul and Honolulu and Seoul and Europe.

KVS can correct me, but I believe you cannot. It's probably the only major award travel opportunity that cannot be checked online.
